Matth, just do better.

Who are AS? (I know this but some might not)

Who is Reguilon (as above)

Why would this be a good or bad thing?

Article/report text?

Corroborated with any other reputable/higher tier sources?

He played against your team a few weeks ago.

Reguilon would improve your attacking patern from the fullback position.

I didn't think AS were that reliable? Nonetheless it would be a good move at a reasonable price- I've always thought he's looked a good player whenever I've seen him.

We need a left back more than we need a CB imo.

Matt you read enough click bait transfer gossip (not a dig, I do too). But you should learn the format they write and copy it. Fill out the article with more details and fluff. Then we'll begin to put more faith that you are another Romano in the making.

IF we signed him or another LB, what would it mean for Shaw and Williams? I think we need FBs that are better at attacking for games we dominate.

Williams is a great prospect, could he provide cover for AWB on the right as well as left?

Shaw was excellent defensively after Christmas until his latest injury. But he’s often injured so Reguilon or another would get plenty of game time too, if Shaw and AWB remained first choice for the big games where we need to be strong at the back

I'm not convinced Williams is a long term starter and Shaw's injuries problems seem at odds with Ole's recruitment policy, which appears to be targeting players with excellent injury records.

It's also not impossible that we see Shaw deputise at CB on occasion if we do sign a LB. We've seen players like Alaba make the transition from LB to CB, and Shaw has the pace, strength and comfort on the ball to play there sometimes. He's done well at LCB in a three also.

But we definitely need a reliable LB, and ideally one that offers more in the attacking third.

Williams is a good footballer i think, but we rely quite heavily on our left back in particular to provide width. I really don't think we can get away with playing a right-footed player there. Shaw's injury i think was one of the reasons for our end of season dip. I have been calling for quite a while for Williams to move over to the right to challenge AWB - I think he would eventually displace him.

As for Shaw, I wouldnt have much of an issue with him if he had the injury record of say, Maguire. Unfortunately we just cannot do with our first choice left back being injured for half of every season though.

At the price stated in this rumour it looks like we could get him in and Dalot out and not have to spend too much to do so. Would give us a better balance in terms of full backs with Williams and AWB for the right hand side and Shaw and Reguilon on the left. I'd persevere with Dalot myself but Ole doesn't seem much of a fan so probably time to move on. If I'm being entirely honest I'm not 100% sold on AWB yet as I think he needs to improve positionally and in an attacking sense but hopefully we'll see that come into his game soon.

I really hope we get him. Would be another very intelligent signing.
