I’ve just finished season 2 of money heist and an ad has just popped up for it.

Do you recommend it?? I need something light to pass a few hours when there’s nothing else on the box

Fans of Karate Kid will enjoy it. It's entertaining, has some good humour. They did a great job with Johnny's character.

Second series of The Boys has just dropped on Prime. First series was very good, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a new binge worthy series

It's a great show, but an even better comic.

Amazon are releasing season 2 in 3 episode chunks but on Fridays. I binged the first three but now have to wait.

I thought they were dropping the first 3 episodes this week and then moving to one episode a week after. Might be wrong though.

I'm watching it currently with the other half. Got about 3 episodes left of the second series. I'm really enjoying it - as said, it is pretty cheesy but its a lot of fun. I like how they have tied it back to the movies but been selective with what happens to convince each character that the others were the bad guys.

Just finished episode 2 of Raised by Wolves. Not a bad sci-fi.

the fight scene at the end of s2 is actually pretty well done when it could have been a lot cheesier

Some of the worst acting I’ve seen. 😄 Ralph Macchio now looks like Cliff Richard doing Karate.

I think there are far chessier things on TV than this!

I thought it was well done and shows that The Karate Kid wasn't the hero we thought?

Here's my issue with it.

The original karate kid trilogy, was set in the 80s. So the actors at the time, especially the youth were products of a residual post war baby boomer generation.

They carried with them a grit and aggression that came through their performances. The violence aspect of it, was believable as was the intent of each actor to hurt the other in the fight scenes.

In between the fight scenes, the social depiction was devoid of modern technology and flavoured with lots of shots of the trees, coast, night time mellow and menace. It was a cerebral masterpiece when you break it down.

Daniel was imo an anti hero in that he was not a karate expert, rather a fiery underdog. Which in spirit is so very much like many in life. 80s films had there let's say hero's, be able to exhibit that bit of needle and spite.

Cobra Kai, and its young actors, were simply put millennials who carried no charisma and no menace. The acting was nickelodeon to say the least. Even the fight scenes looked like a bunch of white belts, taking it in turns to try and hit each other.

The last episode was somewhat better, as that final fight scene, carried with it a sense of actual perilous combat.

Season 3 needs way more testosterone, and ideally a new cast of kids who carry off the vibe that they are actually in a fight.

I quite like how they just want Robbie's life to be eternally bleak as well

He's like a PG version of Jesse from Breaking Bad

That's pretty much what today's young generation is though isn't it? That show reflected how weak and "snowflakey" society and its kids have become. They spend more time on their devices than doing anything testosterone inducing.
