Where do you think we finish

A14, we scored 3 goals against the best team in England, funny, because last year we had hell trying to score goals!..

Yes but it’s not likely that Leeds will be that clinical over 38 games. Leeds getting top six isn’t going to happen.

Donny, I take it you were one of those that bet against Leicester are you?..

A Leicester fan won a fortune that year, the Premier league won a bloody nose!..

Lufc

Long may it continue, but as sensational as we were on Saturday, I’m going to reserve judgement until we play Fulham, Sheff u and Man City. Defo think we have enough to not be in a relegation scrap - but also think with a Thin squad you need luck. Had we had Cooper, I don’t think we concede 4. Kinda fine margins in this league.

Anyway, I’m gona say 12th.

I don’t think using an anomaly as an example to support an argument really works. Might as well say Fulham will win the league, and qualify the statement with ‘yeah but Leicester’.

I said 12th would be par for us, that’s the middle of the pack minus top 6 and bottom 3. Many of us of were quietly optimistic about getting something at Anfield, I feel the same way about finishing in the top half. Injuries will be key, we have a very light squad depth again but also many players who can play multiple roles.

Might as well say Fulham will win the league, funny thing about that is it isn't impossible!..

Look fine now if they do though!..

A thin squad, we did the same in the Championship and played more games!..

Even Klopp pointed out how Leeds kept it going for 95 mins!..

Some would have rolled over after a penalty so soon in the game, and after the 2nd, some would have died!..

It’s also not impossible for Liverpool to get relegated this season. But nobody really thinks that’ll happen either.

I've said on these boards lots of times!..

Good team bad team!..

A good team has a bad day and a bad team a good, anything can happen!..

I'm sure there'll be a lot of them games throughout the season for everyone!..

"It’s also not impossible for Liverpool to get relegated this season. But nobody really thinks that’ll happen either."

And that's why I've used Leicester as an example, because it could just as easily happen again!..

I've put up there I think we could make top 6, but I've also said I'll be happy with survival, but having said that top 6 is achievable to a few teams outside the top 6!..

But that’s why Leicester is a bad example, because it couldn’t just as easily happen again. Those things don’t easily happen. And in Leicester’s case, it has never happened.

If you’re using Leicester to support an argument it shows just how unlikely that argument is to be correct, which is my point.

Much more likely to be bottom 6 than top 6. Much more likely to be relegated than qualify for the champions league . Don't think either will happen

None of the above although I’d love to be wrong

If we get a couple of additions, have a good run of games at some point and a bit of luck taking points off potential rivals, a spectacular 4th would be a dream start to life back in the Premier League.

I’m going for 7th, but 10th is still possible even if we have a bad run with injuries or a thin squad.

Few teams are too good to go down and we are not yet one of them; that said,
I do think Bielsa has instilled a mentality into these players that would prevent them succumbing in an end of season dogfight.

European football would persuade Bielsa for another season, I have no doubts.

Donny, I'll work that out one day!..

I'm using Leicester as an example because they did it, I ain't saying it was easy for them or anyone else!..

I'm saying "it could happen again"!..

"If you’re using Leicester to support an argument it shows just how unlikely that argument is to be correct, which is my point."

And that is a strange comment because of the fact it could, which is my point!..

Seem to remember the bookies gave odds of 5000 to 1 for Leicester.

Thats the beauty of football , the ridiculous can happen sometimes ( 73 Cup Final taught me that )

You just seem incapable of understanding the point. I’ll leave it at that.

posted on 15/9/20

Donny, I don't mind if you leave it at that, I know what I think and if you cant hack it like others you might fall out with, that's your problem!..
