Yes all correct.. Is there some means by which we could get this information across to City fans ?
................and went on to receive the biggest ever humiliation by an English club in the history of the Champions League. Well done
Not quite.
And they had to go thru the play-off stage first (extra games) .

Citeh ain't done yet ...
Whats more embaressing getting soundly beaten by at the very least the 3rd best team in Europe...
Or struggling to get out of your group at all...
What makes me laugh the most is City fans telling us all about us being in the Europa when they could well be joining us very soon ....Tottenham were a much better advert for the english game when we were in it, City are just a bunch of EGO'S
Would Spurs be willing to step up and take their place next year ?
I was thinking its probably the best thing for England really
Just goes to show that spending £300m on a load of players gets you nowhere...
If Bayern beat Citeh at Wastelands by 3/more goals, then that record will be equalled/worsened, will it not.

Not sure losing 4-0 vs Real Madrid with 10 men constitutes an embarrassment, i'd be more embarrassed if we failed to get out of our group, like LFC did in their last pathetic attempt!
Anyway, I would say Arsenal not actually having a shot in 90 minutes vs Barca is the most embarrassing!

That's good. Then us losing 4-0 to you with 9 men definately doesn't constitute an embarrassment
I suppose when you've won it as often as we have a 'slip up' is part and parcel of it.
City are doing damage to English Footballs Co-efficient - unconditional surrender in last seasons Europa League and now being shown up in the CL. I worry for the Premier League's 4th place in the CL for future seasons...
Don't worry proper clubs like Arsenal are securing it by beating Udinese in the play offs. Let us hope City aren't able to get in too often or our best efforts will not be enough...
Devonshire,
I was going to post a similar article. I feel Spurs deserve even more respect for their debut season after the start Man City have had.
I think 99% of non-Spurs fans would have said Man City are/were better eqiupped to take on the CL than Spurs were & yet, we absolutely cruised though our group of death, beating the reigning champs on the way, beating a giant in AC Milan in the latter stages & finally being stopped by, as 7_The_Best says, possibly the 3rd best team in the world.
And i thought Yaya reckons their big win against us confirms they are ready to take on the CL.
The funny thing is, it seems their CL venture will be as short lived as Everton's.
Also, instead of giving us credit after having such a bad start in the CL, the City fans are turning on us. Whilst we wish we were there instead of them, City fans must be jealous of the impact we had on the competition, compared to their own.
See you in Europa.
I think Mancini wanted to make a big statement like we did last season and ended up picking an overly attacking team last night.
He was sacred to fill the midfield and play on the break as it might be deemed boring, and that would look bad because Spurs were an attacking and entertaining breath of fresh air last season!
Your crime was the same as Man United's... you did really well in the competition and so you met the elite who were to good for us both, for some reason fans of clubs who didn't get far enough to be shown up by such good clubs (in the big matches at the end) think its funny that our clubs got there and lost....
The reality is most English clubs would love to have had Uniteds or Tottenhams CL campaign last year...
Devonshirespur :
Then what a useless manager Mancini would be.
The tried and tested EUFA scheme is the "Liverpool" method.
Win at home, do not lose away.
Bayern are an absolute pedigree Euro team.
It takes a very good team indeed to turn up at their place and whip them.

Knew it wouldn't take too much time until the 5-times stuff came out. LFC's complacency (bourne out of their glorious past) was your undoing. You expected to rock up to places and win because you are European Giants LFC....indeed Rafa even guaranteed 4th and you came 7th. Kenny has the balance better. Your history gives you confidence and a sense of greatness but he realises you still have to earn the right to play!
Losing 4-0 with 10 men away at the third best team in the world is no comparison to losing 4-0 away at a team that aren't even 3rd best in their league .....you should be embarrased because even when 11 v 11 you were played off the park! Feel the shame!
