Not sure if it’s tactical actually, but if you’re going to play him there, you may as well have James in his stead.

VDB looks like somebody who will do well getting others into good positions. Looks really clever around the box.

Why? James is just as shiiiiit going forward.

I know he’s a kid, and it’s his first appearance this season, but I’ve never been convinced by Williams & genuinely saw more promise in Borthwick-Jackson (who obviously faded off into obscurity). You can see why Ole wants a LB, especially with Shaw’s injury record.
