I can't believe how forgiving some of you are.
If like Bale he had given everything for the club and decided he wanted to move onto the bigger and better things that were available then fair play.
However he stunk the place out for 18 months then went to a lesser club (despite many improved contracts being waved under his nose) so I hope his downward spiral continues and I don't want him back under any circumstances.
I would of given anything to play for Spurs so when I see a player disrespect the club thats me done with them regardless of how good they are.

What a load of nonsensical tripe. He provides copious amounts of goals and assists in his final full season while doing all the midfield work as Sissoko/Winks sucks.
He looks a bit burnt out. He’s played nearly 600 games in a little over ten years.
^good point.
He played every game for spurs for so many years and was instrumental. Also covered more ground than any other player.
It’s a ridiculous amount of football. He’s not the first, or last, player that will suffer burnout before their 30’s. What’s impressive is how few injuries he seems to suffer given the amount of games he’s played.
The Poch/Eriksen era should have come to an end after that diabolical performance in Madrid in the most important game in the clubs history.
Neither should have been at Spurs for the start of the 19/20 season.
Bit small time of you tbh. Guy was a good player for spurs in one of their better periods in recent memory.
Yeah what the fvck?
I wouldn't want him back, as he's not been at his best for a while, but he never did us wrong. I hoped he'd light up Serie A.
People say Eriksen didn't try or stunk the place out or whatever, when in reality he's just on the decline as a player. I don't think his effort was ever questioned by Poch or Mourinho
He's a very old 28, been playing regular football at a senior level since he was 17, a lot of that in very demanding high pressing sides

Did you see the last few pens he took?
He made it quite clear how he felt about the club and us supporters by tickling the ball rather than striking it.
He couldn't wait to leave.
Modric couldn’t wait to leave, disrespectfully so too but I would watch Real Madrid matches and hoped he’d do well. Don’t know why it’s not the case with the Eriksen move.
We still haven’t replaced him either. Only player that can do what he did in our team is Harry.

Think he had complete disdain for Levy and (I suspect) some false promises rather than any fall out of love with spurs and the fans.

Yeah I didn’t get this.
I’m struggling to remember him ever taking a penalty and have no idea what ‘tickling the ball’ means
Sorry Paul you’re having a shocker here
Think he hit a really pathetic one in a shootout.

I think it was 3 in a row he missed all with minimum effort. One was definitely against Colchester.
All apologies will be accepted.
You can tell how much a player cares about the club he plays for by measuring how hard he kicks the ball

Are you seriously suggesting his perceived poor penalty taking was due to how he felt about the club?
Lamela has missed a few penalties as well. Is that due to a lack of effort or interest on his part ?
He wouldn’t have taken a pen if he didn’t give a shiiiiit about the club and fans.

No but gently lobbing the ball at the keeper kind of gives the game away.
I surprised at how little you lot remember of it, there was lots of talk at the time that he had missed on purpose.
