i mean he does talk BS

however here we have 3 games in 6 days and we have struggled even at 'full strength' against the minows in the EL.

we need europe more than the league cup, have to look after our players fitness with the schedule and tbf even fielding strongest possible team we are not guaranteed to go through - Chelsea would still be favourites.

Yeah surely they don’t need full strength to win a Europa qualifier, so might as well prioritise the Chelsea and United matches.

Yeah what Phenom said.

I can see his point, it's risk management. They got lucky to beat that random team last week full strength so they can't afford to mess about, and with teams like Everton looking strong already Spurs NEED to take the Europa seriously this year.

Honestly I think he's secretly loving it. You know he wants to beat Lampard's face after he schooled him last year, but they're not ready for it even if the Thursday game wasn't a factor, but he's got a delightful excuse that's bailed him out of jail

Although yes, bringing in 'sell your soul for a trophy' Mourinho only to have him outright admit he plans to throw one kind of defeats the point

Psycho-babble,mumbo-jumbo,yeah yeah Jose we know !
It's so old hat now,get the excuses in first,If he gets lucky, smug smarmy grin ! Yeah yeah.

I think Poch, if he was still there would have prioritised the EL game over this, but personally I think Mourinho would cream his pants to put one over Chelsea, whether it was tomorrow night or 10 years from now.

Look I agree the schedule is crazy, it should not be allowed. I have every sympathy on that count. But he knows the importance to respective fans of a Chelsea v Spurs

But the point is the quality of the EL is so bad that a 2nd team can easily win a EL qualifier

Completely different this season with one off matches. Two legged games yes.

I don't see this season finishing anyway, so will probably be irrelevant who wins.

So, after all your extremely valued opinions on Spurs team selections / priorities, how did last night work out for you ?

Still of the opinion you all know best and Jose knows nothing eh ?
