Matt how’s your pug getting on
Day 65: (Geordie Accent please!)
Matt's pug is logged on to his mini-lappy dogtop doing more research on United's transfers.
The pug known amicably as Pugba, has to submit the details from his research to Matt, so he can write his "Jadon Sancho" series
I do wonder now whether, even if we meet their selling price, whether Dortmund will sell. Or if they are now set on keeping him.
Why wait all summer if you were going to pay it. Deal is dead.
Are you counting the days Matth ? r
According to the BBC gossip column "United fear losing face if another offer for Sancho is rejected by Dortmund.", so at least we'll be keeping our face.
Nothing on the BBC website about a bid.
Seems to be Sky drumming up interest for their Deadline Day special.

That's often what we do.
There are several theories as to why we do it. Who knows what the truth is of the matter, but we do have previous with this kind of approach.
Deadline day:
Borussia Dortmund finally accept a bid from Manchester United of £120m, plus another £20m in addons.
However Jadon Sancho has turned down the move.

Ed wouldn't wanna ruin his reputation so I get why we wouldn't waste our time with another bid just incase it makes us look bad.
The reason he missed the Bayern game was a bit fishy. ‘Respiratory illness’. But not Covid. Or any injury that could derail interest. I didn’t think they’d sell with only days to find a replacement. Perhaps we’re waiting on Sancho to kick up a stink and force a move. Regardless of the fee we’ll imo be a better side with him than not so if we have ambitions to push on we need to just bite the bullet and pay. We may never have a better chance to get him.

taken him 7 years to build it up, definitely wouldn't want to risk that by being turned down.
i imagine he struggled with the ladies when younger.
Which is sadly why we probably won't. Instead we'll panic buy and that won't work so we'll buy someone else next season who's inferior and end up spending near £120m on players we never really wanted and have trouble moving them on as they'll be on big wages.

If we sign Sancho, Dortmund will probably have a replacement lined up and will complete the transfer in about half an hour.

🤣 Many a true word is spoken in jest
Don't Dortmund have some super kid in their youth set up who's scored a stupid number of goals? Not sure if he's ready or even plays wide though.

Moukoko, he's 15, apparently scored 6 goals in his first appearance for the U19s as a 14 year old. Turns 16 in November, plays as a striker.
Has been training with the first team since January (when he was 15 and 2 months!), but cannot play for them until the turns 16.
