It's an interesting thing with Maddison - I'm not entirely sure where he fits into the England setup with them playing 4-3-3. (I'm not entirely sure where he fits into it with us either.)
Barnes however, I can see where Southgate would use him tactically. Although fighting Marcus Rashford and Jack Grealish for the left wing berth would likely be tough opposition
Let's hope he doesn't get his head turned like Maguire and Chilwell.
4-1-4-1 is where he fits for us Dunge. Or 3-5-1-1.
However in our current preferred 4-3-3, I’m also not sure he fits.
Ever since I saw Madison do a no look five yard pass under no pressure on the half way line for England I've thought he's a bit of a bell.
Like Barnes a lot though.

I think the general feeling about Barnes is that he isn't full of himself enough, which is kind of rare for a footballer.
He has a lot of talent though, and that valuable ability to go past someone and get defences backtracking. I'm delighted for him that he's made the main England squad and I hope it's a good experience for him.

Just hope he does no room with Chilwell..... lol
I never got the impression on the pitch that he and Chilwell were on speaking terms or knew each other, so that probably won't be a problem.

I think that they were social distancing from each other on the pitch for much of last season.
Well done Harvey Barnes. Congratulations.
Bide your time with England. Stick with it. Keep improving.
Seems very level headed to me. Pretty sure he will keep grounded.
Mixed feelings on this.
Obviously good news for Harvey and a well deserved call up. But I don't like how the England training camp has essentially become an opportunity for players at big clubs to tap up those from outside the top 6.
I also worry about our players fitting in international football at a time when we have approximately 300 matches to fit in between now and May. I'd rather they were resting up and preparing for our matches rather than playing in meaningless internationals. Thank god Vardy packed it in when he did.
