Could be in for a long season. No doubt we’ve improved tactically but the lack of creativity has been evident in recent games. Poor from us really, panic buy on deadline day. Rather give Smith Rowe a chance

Wengers stubbornness to spend some money is starting to get on my nerves now

In fairness, that made me chuckle, Godfather.

We only needed about an extra 5m to meet their demands, frustrating to miss out like that when you have a billionaire owner. If Aouar has another good season it’s very likely we’ll never get the opportunity to sign him like we have this window. Could have been a great investment to get him now. Frustrating lack of ambition again from the club.
Kronke still yet to invest a single penny in this club, not even like we’d always need 100s of millions, often we miss out in targets by small amounts that’s like the equivalent £30 to a normal person in context to his wealth

Wengie spent pretty much everything and then Emery spunked the rest

The Aouar deal was never "On." Like the Partey one, it's been a dog and pony show to keep the fans believing. For just long enough to rake in a tonne of new shirt sale money. With both a new strip AND now an extra expensive celebratory No 14 FA Cup winner strip to be selling. Last thing they wanted/needed was fans refusing to buy them, in protest at lack of transfer activity.

Played the Arsenal fans like cheap violins. Glad to say I haven't bought either strip. Was always my intent (to buy at least 3 of them) only if the window closed with us having spent some money to improve this team. FFP relaxation set that in stone for me. Club isn't getting a penny out of me now until ke spends some money on it. Fans need to stop filling his pockets with their money.

Really?! You spend all year every year slagging off KSE's ownership, only to hand then them the best part of £300 for a handful of replica shirts it probably cost them £10 to produce?

Grow up.

Have waited til deadline day only to be massively disappointed and annoyed, too many years now. I was already vexed by the owner's tightwad crap well before the window. That's why I've never expected anything other than chump change nobody's and a grandpa transfer/s anyway. Regarding transfers in, come Monday I can only be...

"Pleasantly surprised and little less annoyed because we got someone."

Or...

"Still annoyed but without the massively disappointed too, because I foolishly kidded myself anything different was ever going to happen."

It's players out I'm worried about. Until window closing, confirms we won't be selling AMN or Laca, I won't believe it. Because I don't trust ke and the board as far as I could throw the lot of 'em.

Yup. Moaning can wait until nothing goes anymore.

It's over when it's over. My personal view is that will still can sign one of them as Mikel knows we need a least one midfielder.

If the deal is off I think it's a good opportunity for some of the academy players to fill in the gap like Saka etc. I think Aouar is for the future, to survive in the EPL you need pace and power or a very sharp brain like that of Fabrigas, Silva. Ozil is a very good technical player but he has divided opinion for a very long time bse in EPL, its mainly about muscle power and less brain power.

How tiny a club must you think we are if someone's spending 4 or 5 years ago means we have no money now ๐Ÿ˜‚. Smaller than Leeds? Everton have spent far more in last 5 years. Expand your small feeble horizons

In fairness it’s not the money that was spent over that time - though clearly it hasn’t helped. The bigger problem is the wages that were given. Which we’re paying for now, in every sense.

The reason Ozil divides opinion has nothing at all to do with the PL demanding pace and power. It's all about his refusal to do all aspects of his positional role. You don't have to be strong and powerful or pacey to chase a ball just make a sustained effort to break up opposition play. You just have to care enough about winning.

Sports fans generally, hate lazy spineless quitters on their team. That's why only Ozil fanboys rate Ozil anymore. No self respecting sportsman/woman or genuine fan, would want him anywhere near their team. Not if they want it to win anyway.
