the guy looks bang average. Id snap their hand off for that. insane money for a guy who has never proved himself
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not easy to prove yourself at 19 after a serious injury and a handful of games.
I would wait for 100 mil and sell him lol. I am not saying he isnt talented but so far he is an average player with 150 k per week. Nothing special, in reality if BM would offer another 10-15 mil extra we should sell him, every player has its own price
I'm not paying too much attention to the rumours as of yet Biggish as they mostly seem to be emanating from German sources.
From our part it would seem a very strange move as well, given him and Pulisic are our only natural wide players.
He's no where near his potential yet so it would seem very short sighted of us as well.
From his perspective, I'd be wondering where I'd fit into, what is widely regarded as the best team in Europe right now. I don't think he'd be interested in swapping one bench for another and I actually think he'll get a fair amount of minutes with us this season anyway!
Really big money, I'm genuinely surprised we haven't taken it, especially with the big outlay we've had this summer. Think he's struggled since his injury and I haven't really see "it". Maybe being stung with KDB has made us take some more time to assess young players. Frank is obviously trusting him more and must be getting what he keeps asking for or I think he would be gone
To be fair to Bayern that's a respectable offer
I'd reject too. Wrong time to sell even if we had intentions of doing so.

Not really. They will only execute it if they feel he is worth more. If they want to buy a call option then they should pay a premium. That is how options work.

He is 19. Do you remember Drogba and when he first became rated. He was 25 or 26
When Ronaldo first came to United everyone just mocked him as a step over pony. He wasn't 19.

70m. Done.
The £70m is eye catching but really, nothing in it for us. Easy move for Bayern if it did happen, on a loan with option to buy for £70m. If he somehow performs well such that they’d be willing to spend £70m on him, they do. If he doesn’t, they can send him back to us. They did a similar thing with James Rodriguez.
We shouldn’t sell CHO right now logically as we need him as nav up, but if we were somehow able to get a £70m bid right now for him (not loan with option to buy), then we’d be silly not to take it imo. But no way Bayern do that.
Seems unlikely Chelsea would agree to a loan with option to buy.
Bayern trying to be clever
CHO to me looks like he's miles better on the lef and with Pulisic at Chelsea he's gonna struggle to be a regular in that position
He loves to come inside with the ball, on the right he just dribbles into the bodies in midfield

Long term I think he's meant for the left, but right now his movements in between/behind defensive blocks aren't cute enough to get into dangerous positions on his right foot from that side (the WBA goal was an exception).
He needs to get back to how he played for Sarri first - staying wide, taking people on & crossing it. Once his confidence is back, and that'll be a sign that it is, then start getting more imaginative.
I reckon a loan would be quite good for him. Will give him the game time he needs to get sharper and develop a bit more.
He won’t get the game time at BM - they currently have far better players than CHO. He’s unlikely t9 play more there than he will at Chelsea. Plus an “option” to buy him for £70M is irrelevant. If he wants more game time I don’t think a loan is a bad idea - but not at BM. He would be better off going somewhere where he’s more likely to play.

Given now many games Vinicius and Rodrygo get he’d probably play quite a bit for Real Madrid.
I'm unsure on this...that's a lot of wedge for a teenager, who has struggled with injury
Can't see him getting a lot of game time at BM
I fully agree with your sentiment Biggish and I said something very similar on the Haven before seeing this article. Bayern need to go away now because this is starting to feel like harassment and a deliberate attempt on their part to turn the player's head. He is under contract for five years at Chelsea and he is not for sale. Now fck off.

According to the latest from The Athletic, Bayern are planning another offer for CHO but the club are expected to turn it down no matter what. Lampard and the club don't want to let him go and there are no suggestions that CHO will force the move

That wouldn't the same "bang average" guy that spent the whole time tormenting and tearing apart your brightest prospects in Saka & Martinelli last season, would it?
Or
At his physical peak condition aged 17, obliterated Bellerin and had your whole defence in a tangle...
