'Surely Perez should not be starting games for us'
Ironic that as other players play sh!te and get first on the team sheet every week!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Unfortunately we don't have a big enough squad
To drop 5 players,
Not many clubs would drop 5 players tbh, Perez isn't a starter for us now, he played because Praet was injured.
Justin was awful though, LWB he is not, couldn't even control a football today.

Well we do have a backup soon.
Justin is a work in progress. I haven’t been overly praising when he has played alright so won’t dig him out too much when he has a shocker. There is a pattern with those balls towards the back post though. Still , Ricardo will be back soon
Don’t think we should be commenting on Justin and Castagne who have both been superb to date. West Ham set up to stop them.
What then needs to happen is Perez, Barnes, Under, Tielemands need to step up and create issues through the lines.
Today they did not.
The perfect away performance from West Ham. Completely denied us any space and were excellent defensively. They then had pace and power on the break. Not enough quality from our midfield to break it down and our system failed once they got two ahead.
A bit of perspective is that we were missing quite a few of our standout players: N’didi; Maddison, Ricardo along with Praet who’d started the season so well. That, lack of quality, really showed today when we needed to chase the game and also exposed our lack of depth compared to the other sides who finished last season in the top six.
Very poor performance, but hopefully the international break gives us a chance to sort things out and get a few players back.

Yeah fair point. Although I’m not sure he justifies starting even with Praet and Maddison out

I'd agree with that defiantly,
Nadidi, Ricardo to came back,
Evens and maddison to her fit,,,
Which is rather worrying considering the amount of games we have coming up
If we focus on europa and try to rest and rotate against the Premier side, I think we only have 2 top teams to play
So it going to he 8 Park the bus games with players
Probably rested
I don’t get this view about Justin being excellent. He has been decent, with an obvious weakness, but nothing more than that at the moment for me.
I think it may be worth trying Castagne at LB now with the potential return of Ricardo this month

Hopefully we can take this as a reality check and it was good experience of what is needed against 11 behind the ball for long periods. As long as poor performances we were probably a little impatient with our through balls but we can’t moan too much overall after the first month of football.
Well it is his natural position. I actually thought he looked better at right back but appreciate I’m in the minority with that
Ricardo will be back and I agree get Cas playing lb and get used to it.
West Ham did a Leicester on Man City today. Needed a big change at HT and we didn’t.
Justin looks good when he plays well with the player ahead of him. Whether at right back or left back.
The reason I prefer him at left back is a feel he was poor when getting in behind on the outside looking. On the left he’s been good coming inside and letting Barnes overlap on the outside. That’s why it’s worked better for me. Castagne looks good at the byline and inside so more suited to right back.
Today was one of those games where you year. For Pereira back!
Should of been yawn, like our attack or there of therein.

I thought you were yearning for better players.
Fortunately we have a few to come back from injury
Lol we will not win every game and asked before the last two? Lose to Man City and beat West Ham. Same points return. Onwards and forward!
Although we are ‘ yearning for a new forward.’ 🐆
Come on Florida. We’re in relegation form for the last 1 game. This is a disaster.
Lol we will finish top six and do good in the Ropa league.
