Might be 'wide open' for a few weeks, but it will inevitably settle down.
Liverpool and City will battle for the title, and three or four others will battle for top 4.
Don’t forget, these results means the league isn’t competitive.
Don't ask Liverpool fans, they don't know of humility at all.
About the season, if you looked at Villa for example, they have been busy buying players and same with Spurs.
New player effect is tremendous as moral booster. That's what happened Liverpool after they got VVD, Allisson, Mane etc.. at the same time Spurs didn't do that.
If you look at the clubs that are doing well, there's been purchases made in their squad.
It is why the league this season will be closer and I hear some club's fans thinking their club is invincible!
It's not a forgone conclusion.
Old adage - get the so called big teams early in the season.
Seeing the scousers get pummelled is fine but aggravating that its at the hands of a certain Dean Smith.
But the consolation is seeing Ole's army doing so so well today - happy days.
I think no fans are definitely effecting defenders who feed off the crowd more than attackers do in my opinion.

No fans could definitely be a factor, don't know why it would effect defenders more than attackers, but it's a thought.

I think the absence of fans levels out the playing field in many ways, not least because the referees have the confidence to make the right decisions, and the players are only pitted against their opponents, not the crowd.

I feel like they feed off it more when they do things like blocks or big tackles, as well as things like "man on" shouts from the crowd.
Could be talking rubbish but just what I think.
Must admit I tuned in to see Barkley and Grealish, looked like they’d been playing together years. I don’t think Southgate selected Barkley for the upcoming internationals. Dean Smith had studied our performance on the opening day and executed his game plan. It’s a free swing, have a go at Liverpool and City or cower like Arsenal did last week.
The start of seasons nearly always produce freak results, the so called big 5 or 6 teams can lose spectacturly....though this season I think there are more psychological reasons at play and this might well produce a surprising season with an Unfancied team being champions and one or two other teams with lower profiles having a big season.
The pandemic is having a surreal affect on players, both on the field and off the field, empty stadiums are playing their part, restrictions in private and public lives are probably having deep psychological impact, days are surreal for everyone including footballers, which probably translates into team performance.
All I can say after four games of wonderful football and weird results is, if this is the Premiership, bring it on! It's so much more enjoyable than the relentless, grinding out of results against Championship cloggers looking to steal a win against us. At last, we are playing against teams who play football and believe in themselves. Who ever thought football could be so much fun?
I should have also said unpredictable times could well produce unpredictable results more often....this is not a normal football season, obvious statement!

I know what you're saying, but I loved the unpredictability of the championship too (well, maybe the last couple of years only).

Good point, I imagine their club bubbles are more restrictive than gov. rules with regard to seeing family etc.

Not played Burnley yet, to be fair.
Can see a few odd results all season..
Don’t think city and Liverpool will run away with it but do think the table won’t look too different to what we imagined at the start,
But I do think Leeds using momentum we’re building to climb high.. who knows, crazy sport sometimes

Sad but true, Lubo
Those Man U and Liverpool scoreline are just mind-blowing - it looks like anything can happen this season.
However, West Brom and Fulham are not doing too well, are they? Our seven from twelve points distinguishes us from them. Bielsa has made the difference, clearly, but how high can we fly?
Well, if this season is unlike any other, there's no reason why we can't do very very well. We've shown we can compete with the best and then some. Everyone is adapting well, by the looks of things and the new signings are looking pretty good. We can be very positive about the season ahead, in my view.
so, it's between us & the toffees for the pl title
