I think it is down to Roma not paying that money. Smalling went on loan last summer because Ole told him he wouldn't be first choice. But in view of our defender's current form and the performances that Smalling put in whilst in Italy, you'd hope that might change.

Maybe if he does stay Ed can say it's like a new signing.

I'd settle for 50% right now.

Not bothered about Smalling tbh, he's been elevated to god status on here, but within a game or two, everyone will remember he is just another good, not great CB.

MEN suggested that Solskjaer was open to reintegrating Smalling into the team but Mike himself (inexplicably, having experienced life in Rome and compared it with Manchester) was keen to leave.

Dembele has agreed to join us now apparently

Agree with this. I’ve always been a fan and think he’s better than any of the others but if it’s true he doesn’t really want to play for United and Solskjaer never rated him enough, then I can’t imagine any kind of glorious return.
