no, we're going to try and win most of the games for the first half of the season and then spectacularly fail to win for the rest of the season while being relegated.
that's the hopes of every leeds fan on this forum.

But I was asking what happened in 1992 when you won the title. How come you couldn't go again so to speak?
Ageing key players, Cantona left.
Leeds slowly improved season upon season until financial trouble. The club itself had really improved, family stand opened and a new generation of young fans coming in (myself included). Was actually heading in the right direction before all that. Big shame.
I think the same is happening at Liverpool, but down to arrogance more than anything else.
Totally agree Harrogate, we’re the same age I think and that’s exactly how I saw it!
Remember that war stand first opening.. was amazed at it, big screen in the middle, food and drink every where you looked!

in reply to op, peaked, no backing
Up until 92 Wilko did great business in transfer market, after that transfers were patchy and we seemed to sign a lot of old Sheffield has beens.
I was there for his last match, home defeat to Man U 0-4, we were dire.

ouch
Good grief, Carlton bloody Palmer!
If my memory is still intact in his first game at Elland Road he gave away a penalty in the first few mins, those extremely long legs to blame!
Carlton Palmer.. I remember an absolute stormer once at ER, he was about to be subbed off due to injury I think.. then turned back on to the field to receive a huge applause..
Vs villa I think??

Agree, think after 92 we only recruited Scott sellas and rocky.. both flopped
The back pass rule was a big factor too
David O'Leary was able to build on Wilkinsons success. Leeds were challenging for premiership and made it to semi finals of champions league.
A fortune was borrowed to finance the team and the ability to service the debt was based millions coming in for qualifying for champions league football every season.
When Leeds failed to finish in top 5 and were out of champions league financial collapse followed resulting in a fire sale of best players.
Leeds collapse in form coincided with a book written by O'Leary there were claims at the time that as a result of the book O'Leary lost the dressing room.
Bianco, I remember working as a junior car salesman and was talking to a fella who said he did kewells electrics at his house, he told me that he hated him and was very resentful O’Leary didn’t allow him to play with Australia, said a few players hated him.. I thought it was all hear say at the time but could well be true.
You look at Bielsa, you just see how much respect in the game he has from players to others in the profession... despite his “so called distance” I’d imagine he’s very caring and in tune to what players aspire to would of allowed kewell to go.
It’s this type of club philosophy and integrity that I didn’t know we missed out on all those years until Bielsa came in.
Culer.
We failed to replace several ageing players
Strachan Whyte Chapman Sterland McClelland were all old.
Lukic lost his confidence when they changed the back pass rule as he was hopeless at kicking
Wilkinson lost his way in the transfer market
