Disappointed with the statement as doesn’t give Sabri much credit. It was a best season for a longtime even if it went badly wrong at the end. I think he gave the city ground an atmosphere again and gave the city some hope. Didn’t work out for him but I think he needs to be remembered as doing a decent job for us. Cheers Sabri.

Whole heartedly agree with your statement, Sabri may not have delivered in the long run, but he certainly brought a smile back to the CG. A bit like Psycho in that it’s a shame it didn’t work, however, I wish Sabri all the best in the future. Hopefully the club will issue a more generous statement in the near future, unless of course he burnt his bridges before leaving.

Fantastic appointment. I just really hope we back him and give him time if needed.

And just for the record

My moaning and frustration had no impact whatsoever on Sabri losing his position

Correct because nobody takes any notice of what you say after you started sucking Boris inside leg and up.

True, you got what you wanted though. I am surprised we got hughton. Would never have thought the would come so pleased with that outcome. How long till you want him out though? Will you give him longer than Sabri?

Hughton is a great appointment - I’d give him a 5 year contract to really get the whole club sorted and going in the right direction

A lot of how his tenure goes and how the supporters react towards him over time will depend on what he does with the team and how he gets them playing - the thing for me is that I trust this guy - what’s more important and will be the defining factor is: does the owner trust him and will the owner give him the time and support he needs to do what needs doing? I’d be happy spending 2 more years in this league building something solid - will the owner though?

REV, don't judge him before a ball is kicked.

But I will say that we couldn't have employed anyone who has a better record at this level. And the way he behaves brings makes him acredit to the game.

I cant see the owner giving him two years though. He has the rest of this season to at least flirt with the playoffs; then start next season looking like champions.

He doesn't need EM's financial support, he has the players he needs. He just needs to be left well alone to do his job.

Red - I’m not judging him in the slightest - don’t know how you thought I was?

I’ve stated it’s and absolutely brilliant appointment, and I just hope he’s given the tools and the time to achieve what’s needed - if that’s not a positive accreditation, I don’t know what is?!

He is only a brilliant appointment if he is left to do his job with absolutely no interference. And for that we have to wait and see. If not then his appointment could well be another waste of money.

SOD, Warbs, Karanka, and Sabri were I thought good appointments but none were given the time they needed to turn things around and make a success of it. By enough time I mean at least three transfer windows. And in those windows the recruitment team need to do their job properly; not just write out blank checks for anyone Jorge Mendes brings through the door.

I've read an old interview (i.e. just after he left Brighton) in which he says that he prefers 4-4-2, although it depends on the players availabe. So maybe Freeman and Arter (C) in cetral midfield with Taylor and Grabban up front.

My hope that he is given at least 3-5 years irrespective of where we finish or what League we find ourselves in, even if that meant relegation to League 1

Chris Hughton is a man I trust and if given the time and support will only benefit this Club
