Tbf to Spurs they can put out two decent sides so should be able to navigate the Europa quite easily.
Lloris
Aurier Sanchez Dier Reguilon
Hojberg NDombele
Lo Celso
Bale Kane Son
Hart
Doherty Tanganga Toby Davies
Winks Sissoko
Lucas Alli Lamela
Bergwyn
With the likes of Vinicius and Gedson to add to it.
Will they win the league? Probably not but if Kane and Son can stay fit and Ndombele keeps responding well to Jose tough love I think they can get upwards of 80 points.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Both defences are sheite
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lucky for them, I feel Spurs will score a shiiiit ton of goals this season to make up for that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Doubt it. Jose won’t have conceding numerous goals. He will sacrifice an Attacking player if it carries on and become more defensive.

How are they meant to put out sides with Lamela and Bale in them when they’ll be injured all the time?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They can mix and match. Some weeks when Bale is out, Lucas can play there. As they won’t be playing the Europa every week I’m sure they’d have to be really unlucky for either side to be too depleted
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They’ll mix and match between Son, Bergwijn, Moura and Sissoko as the other two will be in the physio room.
Spurs have got decent depth in their squad now, to be fair. Where that will get them in the league remains to be seen (though it’s pretty obvious it won’t be first).
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Will be very tough to get into the top 4. Guess it all depends on how Chelsea gel. Even when not bang in form they seem to be able to pull off 4-0 wins like the one against Palace the other day so should be fine. Doubt Lampard will last the season though.
Yeah I’d be surprised if we do. Might take a run like last season and a similar collapse from some teams above us for that to happen.
But it is still too early to tell at this stage. Especially with the schedule and any cup runs some of the contenders may go on. I don’t think there are any outright favourites for the CL spots outside of City and Liverpool.
Which team has the best defence this season? On paper Liverpool but then they have conceded 11 goals in 4 games. City - never convincing defensively, United - shambles, especially at the back, Chelsea - Frank never plays his best defenders, Spurs - penalties, Arsenal - haven’t been able to defend for at least 5 seasons, won’t even be top 4.
A lot of awful defending so far this season, if it comes down to a pure shootout then Spurs, City and Pool will certainly be top 3.
Arsenal would be my shout as the team that'll surprise people this year. The days of them being a talented but flakey mess might be over unfortunately, besides Liverpool they're the team I see with the most resilience out of the contenders.
Spurs (IMO) will almost solely be dependent on how quickly Mourinho can get their defense functioning to a point where he trusts them enough to give the abundance of attacking options they have the freedom he'd ideally want to (Son/Kane/Bale he'll wanna give 100% freedom). He couldn't do that quickly enough with you guys before his inevitable 3rd season meltdown, and I don't think he'll manage it with Spurs either. If he does they absolutely are a shout!
I just hope the season gets completed.
It’s hilarious how fickle football fans are.
At the end of last season it was United who would challenge the top 2. Then Chelsea would challenge because they bought a load of players. Now Spurs who weren’t going to finish top 4 and sack Maureen are everybody’s dark horse because they battered some goat herders and an awful 10 man United in the same week.
Liverpool are still the best team in the league by a mile and will probably win the league comfortably again.

We ain’t winning the title.

-------
Chelsea and Man Utd? Pffffttt
We beat the best 2 teams in the country (Man City and Liverpool) 3 days apart in July.
It's wide open at the moment because of the results and we're yet to really see team hit their stride.
Right now you would say Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal and Everton could all be considered as having a chance, albeit a small chance in most cases of winning the league.
The you look at teams which could trouble the top 4 and there are quite a few more, Manchester United, Wolves, Leicester possibly even Leeds and Villa (doubt it).
11 Teams that i would consider to have a chance of Top 4 at the moment. That is madness.
Love spurs but think top 4 needs to be the goal really and that's going to be ever so tough. Talk of the league is just silly tbh. Chelsea have some real players to come back and they will settle and kick on I'm sure.
Jose has made some progress but it never takes long to fall apart when a couple of results don't go his way.
League will be toughest it's been and I expect the winners to lose 5,6 even 7 games.
Who ever gets the most points against the top 6 wins it for me but I think it's going to be a mad season. Some teams could potentially have 6,7 players out with covid at a time, and no one can prepare for that.

EFL cup counts for nothing. Come on be serious.
Even claiming that's a big result is basically an admission spurs aren't a big club, so let's not brag about that ffs 😅😅😅
EFL should just be scrapped or boost its prize money....something to make teams take it seriously.
Liverpool and City for me are the front runners, Spurs I expect will close the gap more in 3rd. I still fancy Chelsea in the top 4, they have some very good players and once they begin to gel more, could become a real force mid/end of the season.
I think Everton have a decent shot at 5th/6th along with Arsenal. Leicester/United for me will be battling with 7th.
Although its hard to tell at this moment in time, we are only 4 games in but that's how it is looking from my perspective.

Can't agree with scrapping the league cup at all. Sure if you are in Europe it can be a bind, but 86 or the 92 clubs aren't. For them all they have to aim for is a league position that keeps you safe, of a chance at a league title.
Then the two cups, which for many teams can be money spinners if they are lucky in the draw.
