If the reports are anywhere near correct in stating that the total sancho deal would have been close to 200m, then credit to whoever pulled out, because that’s the best joke of a fee I’ve heard in a very long time.

That article in fairness might as well have been written by Ed Woodward himself. PR machine in full flow with that one.
I have no problem with us pulling out of a deal that we deem to expensive. What I do have issue with is the total lack of any plan B when you know you are not going to meet their asking price. Bizarre way to operate.

Well it appears that Pellistri is coming straight into the first team squad. And I expect that Traore will too as he represents the bigger outlay and will be playing first team football for Atlanta for the next few months. I doubt very much whether we would have bought both of them if we had managed to sign Sancho. So to me it looks very much like at least one of them is a plan B to Sancho to give us more depth on the right.
If Pellistri is a plan B we need to sack Ed more than ever.

I'd say that plan A was Sancho with Greenwood playing backup/rotating on the right and up front. As we didn't get Sancho, we brought Cavani in instead, with Ole accepting that Greenwood would have to be first choice RW. Pellistri then brought in to give us another option on the right whilst we wait for Traore to arrive.
I doubt we’ll see much of Pellistri or Traore this season Tbf.
