Top player and never gets the credit he deserves, he's like our Kante.
The way he instigated counters was superb.

Was thinking hojberg against is for spurs
But yeah kante too
Excellent player, but our fans refuse to give him credit.
Amazing today, we signed him originally as a cm to striker link think thays why so many have been disappointed with him at times but if he continues like that he's more than a usefull cdm

He looks like a headless chicken running around but if you watch him he is very calm on the ball. For all his brilliance tonight Mct (even with that overhead clearance at one point) looks to head or hit the ball away. Fred brings it down and plays it out

His calmness and passing would be a number 9s dream
Shaw too had one of his better games.
He was superb, as were most of our team, can’t really criticise anyone tonight, maybe Rashford’s decision making at time but he made up for it with that finish

Up until today, his form hasn't been good. That's probably why.
Some tend to overrate him once he goes on a run of form.

Tbh martials headed OG was a disgrace for a forward. He closed his eyes. As a team mate I would give him some stick and winning like today is the best time to give stick.
Think as a manager too after a win like this it's better to analyze weaknesses, so rashy with his decision making etc
I think Ole has to take the credit for switching him to the right and McT left after HT, but both were superb up against Neymar. Completely shut him down.
8 tackles, 4 interceptions, 5 clearances, 4 completed dribbles between them.

Bit unfair tbh. We have been a mess but I don't think many could point to Fred being what let us down.
Me n a few others have defended him many times but usually after a loss it's hard to have a discussion

Its what people did with matic, a few good games and people say i told u so, a really good player plays well for months at a time not games at a time
I feel like he gets an article like this every few months followed by being slated for a few months.

Yeah I think certain players have become "targets" and people fall back to blaming them
Can't remember who asked about when fred let us down but there was silence to the question.
One thing I will say is that the ref was excellent. Bar one yellow card to tuanzebe he was up with the game and didn't allow players to feign for free kicks. Think this helped fred as his hurried terrier like style is akin to likes of crouchy conceding free kicks

He wasn't good on the ball against Newcastle and got taken off. Today he was good.
Basically he plays better against teams that have more of the ball against us.

“I think Ole has to take the credit for switching him to the right”
If anyone had called for this on the match thread, they’d have to have been an incredibly astute individual.
Think we can finally say Fred>keita
We just need to keep Fred and McT in front of that defense and we should be fine.
Means losing out on an AM or striker but much better balance to the side.
You win the midfield battle and you generally win the game... These two give us the best chance of doing that.
Plus Fred will get better with consistent game time... we've seen this before!
