About 2hrs 45mins
Got bullied a bit first half but second half gomez n fab did better again. Trent did well defensively sometimes challenging mcburnie back post put him off was gd defending. Wish hed be faster to the ball to close down n learn how to show them one way not let them cut in so much.

Its clear we’re not playing welleven klopps said it recently, but its another win in a tricky patch with injuries constantly halting momentum etc. Could do with keita stepping up this season really could. Hopefully Thiago can get a run of games in too.
Sheffield made it difficult to an extent too, clearly best theyve played all season so far. So theres that too.
Trent is the weak link defensively and they targeted that side. He should close down space much quicker as he always gives the opponent time and space to pick a pass.
Fabinho was also beaten 1v1 once in the second half.
Robbo is defensively good which helps Gomez.
I hope Matip is fit for the West Ham because they will bombard us with long balls all day long.
Fabinho got smoked 1v1 too, hes not getting stick, burke absolutely smoked him n gomez had to bail him out with a block. yet gomez and trent get the stick, faack off.
and even tho it wasnt a foul or a pen he shouldnt have gone in for a tackle like that in that situation either. out of the back four fab was the worst. but i wouldnt say any of them were bad today really.
id like trent to close down crosses quicker and show them down the line as opposed to cutting in. He needs to be switched on more and faster to get out wide when the balls floating over his head.
Also the mf is constantly allowing our def to get outnumbered, dno what it is Wijnaldum seems the worst culprit just watch leeds mf time n time again run past our mf untracked outnumber our back four.
Early mins of the game vs sheff utd today pretty sure they outnumbered us in our box. And the last few mins of the game long ball over the top 4 vs 2 cbs, no awareness whatsover.
wham n moyes will no doubt target similar things, runners n big men. gonna be have to be combative from the off as opposed to upping it 2nd half after Klopp yells at them or w.e like ajax n sheff utd. esp winning 2nd balls. Hopefully some players back n fired up after midgetland game at home midweek and we're playing better too.
Gomez looks a lot better when he plays on the front foot with a bit of aggression. Fabs doing a good job but today with the pen and being smoked diving in as what hes got to learn, hes a cb you do this as a cb and its more than likely far more dangerous and risky than in mf if it doesnt come off, hes often the last man or one of.
dont want fab to lose his ball winning instincts thats whats good about him, just needs to be more aware n tad more careful now as a cb.
