Enter Sandy with an outrageous prediction: "I fancy Spurs to be 20points clear by Xmas day with a bit to spare." or something to that effect. 👍
We are in a great position to be honest. Last season we scraped many 2-1 wins and did the same last night. We still have the Thiago impact which will take us to a new level.
We won yesterday without needing goals from Salah and Mane.

Only watched bits of your game yesterday so could be wrong here. But the bits I watched were reminiscent of our BHA game. But for their finishing we should have lost that game
Don't know if it's a hangover from winning but you've not looked as solid so far imo

I definitely think Liverpool will be top 2, but you don’t look as good as the last couple of years and seem more fragile. If you got another injury to one of the front 3 or the WBs then you could see a few more of last season narrow victories become draws.
I think Liverpool will win it comfortably. They haven't had a great start to the season and are still joint top.
They'll only get better.
The loss of VVD will stop us winning it in the end but I think we will still challenge. Signing a centre back in Jan might make a difference if we can get there unscathed.
It’s really up for grabs, no team has looked impressive so far.

I would say the same. At the start of the season, it is about being in the right part of the table - in the right mix and Liverpool, even though not really performing well, are in there.
I think Everton would see Liverpool behind them and would be feeling the pressure/the heat.
I would also say City haven't even going out of their first gear yet.
They had De Bruyne missing and just back and few others coming back too - Fernandinho, so I wouldn't rule them out at all.
Bar these two, United and Chelsea bore us with a performance that spoke volume of their lack of confidence in their own defenders yesterday.
Neither of them wanted to lose, instead of playing to win.
The season is still way too early, and further injuries to sides could derailled a few
Who do people fancy as a surprise challenger (outside the top 6) ? I think Wolves could potentially go on a run.
We’ve had a tough start and still got a half decent points haul.
I think we’re be there or thereabouts come the end of the season.

We had a similar performance against Sheffield last season and still nicked the points.
I remember Watford battered us at home last season but we still ended up winning.
Next week will be a proper test without VVD against probably the tallest side in the league..
Even with VVD out, I can't see anyone seriously challenging Liverpool to the title.
Liverpool are just too adept at grinding out wins even when not at their best, and none of the other big sides look anywhere near consistent enough. I don't for a minute expect Everton to keep up their early season form all year either.
The way it's going I can see Liverpool winning it again, even though I don't think they're that good. They were bang average yesterday against a team struggling for form but still achieved 3 points, the likes of Chelsea and City would probably have drawn that game. The prem has been crap thus far this season, there wasn't one game worth watching yesterday.

Agree about Everton - classic fast start side. DCL will revert back to being a good striker rather than an elite one soon enough. Think they will drop a couple of points today.
I just think an injury to one of those front 3 could really hurt Pool with VVD already missing. They are though the team to beat.
I’m surprised at how poor City have been - maybe Peps last season?
I think we need to ask, if Liverpool don't win it then who will? City? No. United? No. Everton? No. Spurs? No.
Liverpool will win it and comfortably again.
Everton whilst not a poor team will hit a loss of form sooner or later.
PL wise it will be one of Liverpool, City, Chelsea or. Spurs.

I thought there was only going to be one winner last night and the poor decision for the penalty just set us back.
The loss of Van Dijk is massive but as neo says if we can get to January and get a cb in we’ve an excellent change of retaining our title.
Jota looks like a player we’ve needed.

Chelsea will be nowhere near 1st, 2nd or 3rd.
Liverpool should already be top of the league, but for some horrific mistakes by VAR, but 4 from 6 with 1 loss, and not playing at anywhere near their ability, isn't great news for everyone else if or when Liverpool do finally click.
Don't get me wrong though, as good as Liverpool are, not getting out of first gear in terms of form, ain't winning you the title, no matter how poor you may well think the league is.
Play like we did yesterday against West Ham, and that home record will be gone.
