It's more a generational thing than a locational thing. There just aren't as many (good) comedians anywhere full stop. Lots of lightweight leftist hipsters around now that have to pander to the PC brigade.

It’s poor in general at the mo, although Lee Mack is brilliant, and I love Tim Vines one liners - although about an hour in I need it to stop

Any decent comedienne's? Some like Sarah McMillan but not for me.

Aisling Bea is the only comedienne that actually makes me laugh.
