----------------------------------------------------------------------
Firmino really?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think like United, for Liverpool, what really makes a difference is the quality of the backup options, as demonstrated last night.
Lose VVD and you’ve got an inconsistent bunch of crocks trying to hold the defence together.
Lose Firmino and you have Jota. I haven’t watched how Klopp has used him and if he’s capable of playing the same role as Firmino, but on paper at least, that doesn’t look like as big a problem as losing Mané and having to play Origi in his stead.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Jota plays in place of Mane. Normally Minamino plays in place of Firmino. Origi only plays when we have rested three of the front line.
1. Mane
2. VVD
3. Alisson
I would normally have put Firmino top but he hasn't been great for a good while now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Also we've conceded one goal in three games since VVD was injured. I wouldn't say they're inconsistent, or crocks, perhaps Matip.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Opposition has been poor though. Next 3 games will tell us how much we miss VVD with West Ham, Atalanta and City.

For Liverpool I think 2 of the 3 are straight forward - Alisson and VVD.
The third I'm less certain about. Our full backs are so crucial to the way we play and add so many assists, Robertson's back up is unproven and TAA's back up is very inexperienced. Mane adds attacking impetus when we have off-days. Salah's scoring record speaks for itself.
Personally I'd probably say Mane as the third but would overly argue with the logic behind any of the above.

Not sure how Bale gets into the list of Spurs‘ top three most important players. How many minutes has he played?
At United, for me, it’s:
1. Bruno
2. Maguire
3. Rashford
Really, it’s a matter of who is available when your best and most consistent players are unavailable, and the difference in points/results you’d likely see.
If we lost Bruno, we’d have DVB. He might be a decent stand-in, but we haven’t seen him week-in, week-out and Bruno is absolutely key to Ole’s system.
Lose Maguire and our CB partnership is Lindelof, who’s no leader and poor in the air, plus one of a rotating bunch of crocks.
Lose Rashford and we’re playing Dan James on the left every weekor moving Martial out of the position we’ve worked so hard to get him firing in.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Many of your fans want maguire dropped. Lindelof and the new kid apparently is the preferred combo
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No they don’t. A handful of idiots might.
He’s very comfortably our best CB. I don’t know anyone at all who prefers Lindelof to Maguire.
I think Mane is Liverpool’s most important player. Not the same side when he’s not in it.
For us it’s Bruno all day.
Chelsea it’s looking increasingly like it’s Mendy.
Spurs it’s Kane closely followed by Son.
City is arguably Laporte.
Arsenal probably Auba although he looks a bit out of sorts.
1 Bruno
2= Rashford/Martial
Would put Maguire in next probably
The difficulty with Liverpool is most of the regular starters are all missed when they aren't there, so it's difficult to say who the "biggest" 3 are so you have to try and look at where the biggest loss would be.
Firmino you could argue although, as previously said, been well off it now for some time, but when on it, a crucial component to the front 3. Mane and Salah for obvious reasons, Henderson because of his leadership in the middle, Van Djik and Alisson for their ability at the back but then even both full backs TAA and Robertson because of what they bring to the side.
It's difficult to choose between them all really, especially the full backs because they aren't usually missing unless rested so hard to see how big of a loss they would be if not there, because usually at least 1 of them starts anyway, but if they both weren't there then it would be interesting to see the impact.

I've heard from many sources that Aubameyang has suffered with attitude issues his entire career, think Klopp documented it once or twice whilst at Dortmund.
I'm sure playing him out of position doesn't really help matters either, but coupled with his attitude issues and probably the fact he sorted his career out whilst not having it up in arms has maybe seen him drop in performances some.
