This article was not about his lack of goals. It was about his lack of aggression. If he added some aggression it makes sense he would be a better player. You cant have a club captain shirking out of tackles which he does on a regular basis or do you not watch him.

I know a certain club captain who does all that. Plays for that other lot down the road.

And you can bet he'll be taking his inevitable annual 3-month injury break within the next few weeks.

Certainly want my club captain to have fight and aggression.

Lacazette plays with a lot of aggression, often tracks back, gets a lot of bookings.
I guess it is a question of whether you want your main goalscorer to score goals or be a Vieira type.

You should sign Shane Long.

I swear to god that we have some of the most mental fans in the country.

So, last night our kids and back ups win 3-0 in Europe and there are no articles with anything positive to say whatsoever. Just two articles slating one of our most prolific goalscorers, and another slating a manager with less than a year in the job, but 1.5 trophies under his belt already.

Dundalk at home was always a no-win situation. If we had thrashed them then it would be because they are a bunch of potato farmers, if we didn't thrash them it wouldn't be good enough

So would you be happy with PEA if someone else was club captain?

He does track back quite a lot when he’s on the wing. You hear commentators comment on it regular. Maybe he’s not pouring with sweat and looking knackered after a game because he’s fit enough to do 90mins without looking like he’s about to die

posted on 30/10/20

I think he does track back but op is right on a lot of the other things

Extremely weak on the ball and does pull out of 50/50s.

He isn't Kane, Vardy lever but still a good player but he needs to start stepping up in the league against the big boys away from home.

He is likely to be invisible on Sunday once again and I think most of the fan base won't be surprised by it either

So your all are happy with his performances I presume. You must be easily pleased.

No, I am not. But not happy with the overall performances.

Auba tends to get a free ride by a lot of the fan base.

Fans tend to ignore the level of his overall play

Because he’s by far your best player.

It is because we don't expect our main goalscorer to be chasing back, tackling, getting into aerial battles. We expect him to be getting into goalscoring positions, as he has done throughout his career. We understand his qualities, and know if we are to score, win and be successful Aubas goals will be a massive part of that.

You don't judge a CB on the goals he scores, you shouldn't judge a goalscorer on defensive work.

Was doing the same when you signed Wilner wasn’t he?

Arsenal fans, now that the Gunners have completely annihliated and humiliated that international football powerhouse known as Dundalk, I predict that things will take a dramatic turnaround, and that Arsenal will finish in the PL top 10.

btw: Only an Arsenal blind-worshipper could waste his/her time by using JA606 to complain about the game referee.

Ive certainly seen Auba win some headers. when we are defending a corner, but he's definitely won some.

It seems most are happy with what Auba is producing. For me, if he isn't scoring I would expect far more than what he has been giving.

Zero link up, easily marked and scared to go in for tackles.

I just want to see for once, a clinical performance against a big team, away from home, in the prem. He has done it in the fa cup but overall, his performances against the big teams is a joke

Won golden boot followed by nearly won golden boot again. That is neither "easy" nor something for fans to be griping about Garwood. Especially a fan who'd be stupid, devoted or deluded enough to put Ozil back into the team.

posted on 30/10/20

Yes Auba scores goals. He is a very good striker but fans will be deluded if they thought he was an all round player.

Problem we have got now is that this rigid 3-4-3 arteta wants to play is going to leave Auba even more isolated

posted on 30/10/20

I don't think anyone ever thought Auba was an "all round player". He is a goalscorer.

Yeah, "Golden Boot Winner one season, followed by "Golden Boot Runner Up," the next season. Will tend to have that effect on fans, when you're a striker.

I love the way certain people are slating the strikers whilst simultaneously constantly complaining about the MF with zero creativity.

We have a striker whose among the league's top scorers and has won a golden boot...

In a team that struggles to create chances...

But nah he's crap

Apparently, stuff goals scored, strikers only any good if they're willing to risk breaking their leg, lunging for a 50/50
