Saw The Untouchables the other week. He definitely gave the best performance in that film even if his Irish accent was non-existent.

His last ever role was in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and he's great as Allain Quartermain. A classic Connery performance.

He was great. Didn't realise that was his last role. I was only 12 when that came out

The whole casting in that movie was brilliant. And they all delivered. Even the very much berated Costner.
The Connery death scenes is one of the all time best.

Costner was pretty wooden in places.
Dragonheart was obviously his best role.
A shoutout for Outland too.
Any poll of who was the best Bond he would win by a mile. And because he was first it made it possible to continue the series.
This is awful news, RIP mate
his best part in the rock, and still surprisingly relevant given the current state of the USA and it's leadership:
General Hummel : Did they bother to tell you who I am and why I'm doing this or are they just using you like they do everybody else?
John Mason : All I know is that you were big in Vietnam, I saw the highlights on television.
General Hummel : Then you probably have no idea what it means to lead some of the finest men on God's earth into combat and then watch their memories get betrayed by their own facking government.
John Mason : I don't quite see how you cherish the memory of the dead by killing another million. And, this is not combat, it's an act of lunacy, General Sir. Personally, I think you're a facking idiot.
General Hummel : "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." Thomas Jefferson.
John Mason : "Patriotism is a virtue of the vicious," according to Oscar Wilde.
[Hummel strikes him, and he falls to his knees]
John Mason : Thank you for making my point.

😂 just this once take me on my word, I do believe Dalton was a better Bond.
I always enjoyed The First Great Train Robbery as a kid. Watched it many times
It’s Sean Connery memorial thread so I won’t go full-Robb in my argument 😅. It’s just my opinion about Dalton but obviously Connery was brilliant and the most iconic Bond.

I do like Dalton. He is kind of a forerunner to Craig's portrayal. But if you ever again suggest that he's better than Connery, I'll hunt you down and stick that cello case up your Harris.
