Before Cocu the path from the under 23s to the first team was largely blocked by high earners and loanees. So credit to him for at least giving those players a chance. The next manager will benefit from that. Cocu hasn’t got the first team to perform and that’s the most important thing so he will have to go. Under Lampard we signed Marriott, Waghorn, Josefzoon and others. Cocu has done much better with Marshall, Byrne and Jozwiak and I think Bielik will be a very good player if he stays fit. Hopefully we will look back and say that Cocu laid some of the groundwork for a successful period.

Why CKR though? CKR is a 'run down the clock' player, never been a goalscorer, not what we needed.

Bringing CKR on when we're looking to score is the same level of insanity Trump has been demonstrating over the last few days.

I would be happy to attribute all the blame to Cocu, if I thought he and his staff had been making all of the decisions behind the scenes

It was clear that CKR was not the forward Cocu wanted to sign. Maybe it would have gone wrong anyway but the failure to get a decent striker into the club before the window closed has scuppered any chance he might have had.

The side looked better balanced when TL came back from injury. However I can only assume this is because the opposition use an extra marker, because his descion making is dreadful. Is he thicker than the average player?

I just feel that some players are above reproach.

We're too nice on this board.

There are players out there who through lack of ability, application, confidence or passion turn in maybe 1 good performance in 14, or score a wonder goal which preserves their kudos for their next 10 5hit games........

Just think some players are untouchable......for some reason.....

Name names, go on View, do it.

We have few consistent players. Davies, Clarke, Marshall, Shinnie are all generally steady performers, occasionally making bad mistakes that cost the team. I don’t know who is “untouchable” on this board - Lawrence certainly attracts the most hatred. Who are you thinking of View? Waghorn is a nice lad but extremely inconsistent. Rooney has given us very little in my opinion this season. But for me it is more about the organisation than the individuals.

I think TL gets so much stick simply because he has awful body language? But today if I was in the crowd, I could have gladly run on the pitch and kicked him up the at5e.

But is that the first time you've felt that? Is it?

Or have you felt like doing that several times before?

I thought Jozwiak was really good when he came on. When he, Lawrence and Waghorn played as a front three we looked inventive and threatening. We stopped that because it was felt essential to shoehorn Rooney into the team. Rooney should be a bit-part player, he hasn’t got it in him to play twice a week in a full-on league like the Championship. Yet we build the team to accommodate him which reduces the effectiveness of these other players.

BTW, who is using the team's performance as ratings for this article?

Every game apart from Huddersfield away last season.

Mick McCarthy was covering one of our games recently and he was fulsome in his praise for both Waghorn and Lawrence while they were with him at Ipswich. Fantastic attitude, great lads etc. MM isn’t the kind of bloke to tolerate shirkers. There was far more awry today than TL having “bad body language”. It’s like saying the Titanic went down because the band was playing the wrong tune.

I can't even get excited about this apparent TO at the moment TBH.

Since the midweek game v QPR I feel totally drained.

I wasn't referring to today specifically vidal. Why does he always have a face like a smacked ar5e?

So you don’t like his facial expression, fair enough.
