Looking forward to it , would be happy with a draw but think we can get the win - am expecting a big game from Bobby . Will be interesting to see if he goes with 2 or 3 in midfield suspect he might give Milner a go

can't call it.

there will be more space to play in but really I am not sure our midfield are going to be able to do the job it needs to.

henderson and wijnaldum yes. but we are moving one to a no 6 role. no fabinho no thiago.

so what do we do to get after de bruyne and nullify his threat?

That might be why he plays Milner

Want Milner on De Bruyne all day long.

Let Bernardo and Robertson have a ding-dong battle in the game.

Fancy our front four versus their back line easy.

Not so confident myself as usual. This is City away. Should be their biggest must win of the season.

Pretty hard one to call given the freak nature of football at the moment. Not sure id consider it our biggest must win of the season given how early on it is, although take the point should City lose we would have a mountain to climb. Sure it will be an entertaining game, although we are beatable we’ve got a few players going into the match in fine form

This is one of those few games each season that could genuinely go either way.

We could thump City 5-0 they could do the same or it could be 1-1.

I expect the same sort of game we have seen when Klopps liverpool plays Peps men at the Etihad, City open up the game nicely allowing Mane and Salah a few opportunities which they miss.

Then the liverpool midfield lose their shape and City take their chances and thrash them.

Same game always. At Anfield, City have all the posession and Liverpool in a spell of 10-15 Minutes blow City away.

I wonder why people always expect a different result when it is the same coaches and same players.

Funny enough the closest game between these 2 at the Etihad was the 2-1 game which City won. In my opinion that is one of if not Peps best match in England. The way City pressed that night was remincent of his best barca side.

If bernardo plays tomorrow it will be fun to watch

So it always happens but then you quote an example where it didn t happen.

Logical.

The actual eithad results

0-0
5-0 due to mane sending off but again it's not the "same players either"
1-2 cl loss
2-1 plus 11mm fake news no goal
4-0 due to off players being drunk and not caring.

So your narrative is a lazy one.

City are a good side but when there's been something on the game it's been close.

Lfc need to solve a big problem at the back and in midfield for this one whereas city dont have aguero which is a miss for sure.

It is unlikely to be anything but a tight game with 1 goal in it.

I think with our defensive issue's we may come a cropper if we try to go toe to toe with City.

A draw would be a good result. I hope Jota starts and we try to hit them on the counter.

If Matip plays your defense should be good enough to close out a city attack that is misfiring. Little has been made about them not having a striker for 2 months now.

The problem is your midfield and they were the problem even against Villa. Thiago missing is a huge blow.

If Thiago was fit you would be massive favourites.

Weird how you missed that outrageous disallowed goal in your assessment of recent fixtures at the Etihad. The only game you’ve won too 👀
