So with news VvD is out for 6-9 months there will be a lot of anger aimed at Pickford. It seems crazy that he wasn't punished in any way for a reckless challenge but.... all the talk I have seen of him deliberately trying to injure Vvd or being outraged by the tackle seems a little off to me. I have watched Gerrard put in at least 4 absolutely outrageous challenges over the years. Every one a potential career ender. Kuyt and Carra have got away with some shockers as have most. I'm frustrated at what has happened, gutted we lose the best CB in the league but I struggle when I see supporters cry about how outrageous it is. I think the challenge was reckless but I dont think there was any intent to do lasting damage.
