We’re not gonna sell Gomez or Matip in the summer. We already need at least one new CB so flogging another and needing to find two top CBs and the money to buy them seems unrealistic

I heard Klopp wanted to add another CB but money was an issue, the Covid situation has made it the same for many clubs.

Nat Philips played a blinder when he filled in and I was disappointed for him when he was promptly dropped for the City game. Now give the lad a chance and let him play through to the end of the season.

We have every reason to let the young players like Williams and Philips have their opportunity.

I was thinking more of promoting williams or philips if they do well enough and buy one top cb.

I’d be really worried if we are gonna play Phillips for any extended period of time.

Done a fine job against West Ham, but he’s almost 24 and his career to date has amounted to a handful of German second division matches.

Williams and him can provide bench cover while we try to limp through til January

Problem is that all our currently fit CB are RCB or that is there preferred spot. One of them Will have to move over and whoever does will partner Matip.

We can loan you Phil Jones if you like?

In hindsight putting your name in the hat for Silva would have been an astute bit of business.

In hindsight probably...but at £114k/pw when we had Van Dijk, Matip & Gomez. You can probably see why we didn't.

whats the beef guys. nat Phillips got motm for standing round heading the ball.

clearly we got this covered.

I've already decided this will improve out team as gomez clearly handles the ball too much.

matip and Phillips to start v leicester. fabinho back in midfield and thiago too.

Matip is not slow. He might get injured sprinting but that is another story.

Klopp basically confirmed before the Ajax game that Matip can't play 2 games a week...so Williams or Phillips will defo be getting CL minutes, seeing as we're one foot in the KO rounds.

Just need Matip & Fabinho to stay fit. Big ask though

we've an awesome shot as developing a brilliant young cb and a not so young one.

plus fabinho, thiago and henderson will be our cms for the next game. I dont get why people are so down in the dumps.

We're not down. Just not so optimistic about the run up to Jan at least.

December is going to be crazy as already it looks like the players can't handle the fixtures.

We need thiago in quick and just try to pass teams to death like we did to sheff united last season. Less running more passing and lots of rotation.

Neco williams could do with a run of games anyway.

Rhys williams could be a top player if he grabs his shot.

Nat phillips will let nobody down in a game of headers.

i simply cannot see this as us being badly off as we have an awful lot of players.

One thing for sure. If it was not for jota i would have currently bricked it if one of that legendary front three was out for a while.
