Not like they have stiff competition so yes, they're still easily favourites IMO
I would say they are still title challengers. They are one point off the top after 8 games despite all their difficulties. I predict that it will require quite a low points total to win it this year. While that opens things up for teams like Spurs it also gives hope to Liverpool that they can still win it with injuries to key players.
I also predict that as a Liverpool based wind up article this thread will get over 100 comments.

We should just concentrate on ourselves. We makes sure we take every game on its merit and keep the winning habit and form ticking over, and review where we ate in end of January.

To his credit, Jose is a one game at a time manager. He also knows how to take the pressure off his team and would rather heap pressure on himself if it helps his team win.

After 8 games no , 👍

Fair, but mind games.
Season is only 8 game in, and a long way to go. Spurs and Leicester have looked the most solid for me. That's one reason pundit are talking about the 2015-16 season rivalry for the title, between these two clubs.
Partly because pundits are lazy usually and partly because headlines like who is predicted to win attracts fans.
It is a long way from being a forgone conclusion and maybe, after Xmas we should see some pattern to work out which teams are better placed etc

'After an almost injury free two seasons'
so what youre saying is they did have injuries just no season enders, which are not the norm

I'm pretty sure Liverpool's crucial front three stayed fit all season in 2019-2020, barring very short injuries of a week or two. This despite them playing virtually every league game.
I know I done an article about Caulker yesterday Sandy but that’s a pure pee take between some of our fans and him on Twitter

Salah will probably miss one game at most
Anyone with aspirations of winning the title this season that finish below us should be embarrassed.
We’re a mess right now with injuries, Covid and VAR. Ne excuses.

--------
An important game. Van Dijk and Gomez entire season
Injury free last season.?? Big lie
Alisson missed first two months then in Feb again Adrian costing Liverpool the CL against Atletico Madrid and FA cup against Chelsea. Matip every season misses three to four months. Same with Ox, Keita and Gomez. Henderson too. All of them got injured more than once for a long period.I remember Van Dijk only missed one game. Salah two games. Our defence and midfield have always been injury prone. Previous year we had less injuries. Difference this year all getting injured early and same time.
On another note, Leicester seem to be getting all the luck, like when they won the Prem. They will be playing a Liverpool side with half the team missing.
