there's still alot of unknows about the long terms effects of catching covid, even in young healthy people who were asymptomatic

With moderate symptoms, I guess the timeline in accordance with the recommendations above might look like:

- Development of full symptoms (14 days)
- Full resolution of symptoms (28 days)
- Graded return to exercise (38 days?)
- Graded return to training (48 days?)
- Full training to match availability (62 days, based on standard two month injury return schedule)

What's been the form of the footballer's who's returned from a Covid infection? Has there been any notable nosedive in performance from any?

footballers are playing full competitive matches as soon as they test negative

Do the athletes know this?
Do the pro leagues in USA know?
I remember it took decades for the NFL to admit to neglecting head injuries. Even after being shown studies which proved it.

Oh, btw, Rossi, I miss you.

Don’t know if the studies have been picked up by the major networks in the US yet, but I haven’t seen anything in the UK or Portuguese media.

For sure the pro leagues in the US will be aware, and I’d bet the UK’s top sports science academics and pros will have read the studies.

That’s pretty much what it’s seemed like.

Just found this when looking for the other study I mentioned above:

“In a small JAMA Cardiology study, researchers found abnormalities in the hearts of 3 in 4 people who had recently recovered from COVID-19 and "ongoing myocardial inflammation" in more than half.

Elite athletes in training and competitive environments obviously put their hearts under much greater stresses than your average healthy adult each and every day. Which is where underlying issues with myocarditis will become a serious risk.

NPE has left the building.
Besides that, winter is coming fast here. Covid coming faster tho'. Numbers rising all over the country.
1 person brought it from Winnipeg to Iqualuit (arctic community) about 3 weeks ago now over 75. Not a large medical infrastructure up there.

Found a UK study suggesting a less cautious RTP schedule here:

Published a little earlier though.

Yikes; that sounds like a pretty frightening situation.

Can they get people out to the closest hospital with an ICU? Or send equipment up there?

I think that's how it got there. Inuit live in multi a generation homes too. Hospitals all over the country are warning of overload and CMO has projections of up to 20,000 per day by Christmas.
Hope they're wrong.
