Not on the right, he won’t.

Our best right sided player is a young forward who’s having a difficult season; aside from Mata the other options are 2 youngsters who’ve just signed, one of which can’t even play until Jan, or another youngster who’s been ineffective every time he’s played since his third or fourth game for the club!

So pretty sure VDB wouldn’t be that bad a shout, even if he isn’t a RW or doesn’t stick in that position!

Yep. He was raised at Ajax so I’m sure he would be adept all over the pitch. I doubt Mata is that much better playing out of position coming off the right side that we should scorn people for suggesting Beeks could do it.

This lot have done us a few times at home in recent years, think they will be well up for it

We should batter West Brom as they have been terrible this season but our home form is shaky. Reckon 2-0 for us. But an early goal would set it up nicely to play with a bit more freedom.

Agreed. Didn’t start the last 2 games for the Netherlands either. He’s a good player but clearly there’s a reason he’s not a nailed starter for club or country.

Was he a regular before he joined us ?

Matas performance in the last CL game was embarrassing. Hopefully a better showing tonight by he really shouldn’t ever be in the side when Matic is there too.

Not too worried tonight, expecting a win, but a good performance would be nice. Early goal would be brilliant!
