He was relatively cheap and available. And Ed must have known Real wanted him but couldn’t afford him this season so that set off his ‘ooh, I can beat Real to a player and that’ll impress my mates at the yacht club’.
Don’t think that was it. He was the cheaper alternative to Grealish.
Considering the number of top players they had out tonight, I imagined nothing but a Leicester win.
I shudder to think, if we lost half of our 'best' players, what the score would have been tonight.
Grealish is a player who slows the game. He is a good player but he should pass the ball quicker if he wants to play for a top team.

That’s surprising you’d think that when Leicester had quite a few players out as well.

All we have to do is lose Bruno.
Apparently we haven’t scored a single PL goal this season without Bruno or Rash being involved.

We have really good backups despite what some would have you believe. Those who don't believe it, the proof is in the pudding. Are there many better backups in the league at right back than Milner? At centre back than Fabinho and Matip? Central midfield than Keita and Jones? Right wing than Jota? Even some of our backups to the backups are injured, like Ox and Shaqiri. It's a dire situation at the moment with injuries but I never doubted at this point we'd suffer severe consequences. Although another injury or two in defence or midfield and I'd be worried. An Alisson injury would be a worry also.

You could swap Liverpool for Leicester in that and it would be exactly what my in laws said before the game to be fair.
Liverpool are doing what UTD used to do.
Basically winning before taking the field.
Managers would be afraid to play their way against UTD and lose before kick off. Likes of Allardyce were worst for it imo.
Brendan is showing the same traits. Why he won't be a top manager for me and why I don't want h at UTD like some suggest.

Our lack of attacking threat rearing it’s head again. A common theme under Ole.
It is more the quality they have in goal and upfront. Tactically there isn’t much difference between the two sides.
Leicester were missing Ndidi, Soyoncu, Pereira and Castange. All four of those you’d expect to be in their starting line up.
Most teams will lose at Anfield this season. I doubt it really reflects badly on Rodgers. It’s really down to how they respond and I’m sure they’ll challenge for top 4 again.
Can’t stand the smug priiiiick, but the only coaches you’d safely say are better than him in the prem are Bielsa, Ancelotti, Mourinho, Klopp and Guardiola.

Four and their replacements are a far bigger drop off. That and Tielemans put his good performance in for Belgium instead being just as big an issue.
That’s the difference between a Leicester and a top side like Liverpool, the players are less consistent and they need their first XI as much as possible. It’s also why I think it’s very harsh to think Rodgers isn’t doing a good job (other comments, not yours)
