He's exactly what City need, and I can't imagine Pep would have signed his new contract if he hadn't been given some assurances about revitalising his squad.

If I were Levy I'd be getting ready for a major bid - and seriously hoping Mourinho delivers a major trophy this year to keep Kane interested
----------------------------------------------------------------------
lol unless £200m comes in i cant imagine Levy entertaining the bid at all.

You don't think so?

just needs silverware to be considered greatTBF
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Tom Finney and Stan Matthews were considered two of the greatest ever British players. Oh and guess what they had one medal between them. Alan Shearer I think had only one. Jimmy Greaves and George Best, both absolute British legends had only three medals each.

Plenty of players of championship standard can collect lots of medals in the Prem era at the chequebook clubs, it don`t mean a lot, when most of the time they are not actually playing, but sitting on the bench.

would be nice though a nice cup

He seems very happy at the moment. Would be great if we could just win the league cup to get that monkey off his back about trophies.

With the squad we're building and the player's buying into Jose he might be happy to stay as long as we're in the CL next year.

Kane is contracted until 2024. He is Levy's female dog at least until 2022 in order to gain max value. Keep up with the scare mongering. It's fun to read...

Kane will not ever leave. Can't see anyone paying Levys fee and he is the perfect fit for spurs. Why risk going somewhere where u ain't the main man?

Also Kane seems like abit of a homeboy. Can't see him leaving London anytime soon.

He is showing no way near the variety of goals he can score that Kane does. He has improved out of nowhere in a short space of time like Kane but very different players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think they're quite similar or at least DCL is quite similar to how Kane used to be. Strong, tall and good at heading and hold up play. DCL is a bit quicker maybe, while Kane has better vision. Besides, I can see DCL add more to his game as he goes along.

You have no idea what may have been agreed away from the public. You being so sure it won't is actually what is funny.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No one on here has a clue as to what has been agreed away from public. For you to make up some BS to counter the fact which I have stated regarding Kane's contract is far more funnier you clown. Have a LOL

There will be a point soon though where Kane will have to stick or twist. He'll be 28 at the start of next season, so realistically only has 2/3 more seasons to get that big move if he does want it.

If he wants shearers PL record he can't move out the PL. I can see that alone as a reason he'd stay. Bar city I can't see anywhere else he could go, if he did leave, which I can't see happening

Even if he stays Shearer’s record is such that it will still be quite hard for Kane to reach it

Until 2023 at the least. Between now and then he might even sign another contract. Has anyone thought of that?

Fergie would have signed Kane years ago if he was still united manager.

He's a top player, scores all kinds of goals and links play really well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not sure Kane would go to a mid-table outfit with a rookie at the helm, every for double the money.

City are the only team who can pretty much guarantee a trophy and who would pay the fee. I dont think even Real or Barca could afford him.
