I think we’ll be fighting relegation by the looks of it. We’ve got a really soft centre and lack leaders. We need Grabban back without a doubt. Should go back to 4231 so that Lolley and Knockaert can play in more attacking positions. But we are very poor

It is definitely a relegation battle this season, but I think there are three teams worse than Forest at the moment but that could change. Hughton needs to make sure the bavk four defend as a unit and take responsibility.
The return of Worrall and Grabban should improve things whenever that is.

Last year you could rightly say we were a team, sum greater than the individual parts!

The opposite is true right now, hard to see significant change coming so prepare for a long winter! Also genuinely worried Hughton will be sacked before season end, although it won’t really be his fault, it’s just the way we roll these days.....

It's a masterstroke! Lose tonight and save ourelves for Swansea!!!

Tbh we were never going to win, we hardly ever do without Sow.

We are playing for sixth at best. Three of the top six came down last season and have started well, plus they will only strengthen in January, whereas we will lose Knockaert if we carry on like this.

33 games left and if we;

W19 D7 L7 = 76 points

I just can't see it. More chance of Derby going down than us reaching the play-offs.

We have eleven individuals but as yet no team. There is little or no understanding on who will make a run to where, yes Ameobi is a bit of a maverick, but that’s just his way, you can account for one in a team but at the moment we have to many. We lack strong leadership on the field, we lack cohesion in the way we try to attack and always seem to be chasing the game. It is absolutely essential we don’t concede early against Swansea on Sunday, as per last season, because i believe, particularly at home we won’t have the answer as to how to get back into the game. I fear for us over the next half dozen games and just hope we don’t lose too much ground on some of the teams around us. There is a long way to go for sure this season but we really need to get some confidence producing performances, and pretty soon.

No point in playing for sixth up. If we don't show some ambition then we will accept we are in a relegation battle. Wrong mindset.

It seems obvious that bringing in however many players it was in the summer was a mistake; which is what most of us thought at the time. Maybe changing the manager was as well. Yes we lost a few key players, but if we had brought in nobody and promoted Brennan, and Mighten I dont think we would have been much worse off than we are now.

CH still seems to be working out what formation he wants to play and who he wants to play.

I think he needs to concentrate on making us hard to beat the way Dougie Freeman did. It worked for him, it can work again. Seven defensive players: GK, back four, two DMs; four attackers from Lolley, Knockaert, Ameobi, Freeman, Taylor, Guerrero, Mighten. In a 4-4-2, or 4-4-1-1 formation.

Is Sixth realistic? From where we are I'd settle for sixteenth.

We've morphed from being a team that had been defensively tight; but had been caught out by the number of games/injuries/fatigue, loss of confidence post lock down.
Now after losing key players we can't defend, or attack and can't hold onto the ball.

The biggest problem is the owner interfering in team affairs and changing too many players.
None of the players that have been brought in seem to be a leader out on the pitch.

There is a definite lack of leadership on the pitch. We have two good leaders in the squad, Dawson and Worrall. Joe is a way of being fit, which leaves Daws. He is definitely a presence on the pitch but I’m not sure he would be an adequate replacement for Figs. The answer might be a back five.

Christie ( or Jenks), Figs (or Mbe Soh), Daws, McK, Ribs.
