I actually don’t think he was better than messi or pele but he was definitely the most influential, he won the World Cup almost single handed and did the same for Napoli in Italy in winning them the title for the first time ever

Regardless if you hated him or admired him, he was one of the greats.

RIP, will never forget WC 86 and that mazy run goal

Oh yes you can die of many things. But Covid19 is killing hundreds of thousands just at the moment. We can stop most of them following the rules. Whereas most of the others are not so easily thwarted

His book is one of the best football stories told.
He was destined to go to river plate I think but loved boca, or something similar. They were the only team that could afford him but he was quoted in the papers as saying "river are 5hit" which put an end to that 😅
I think boca bought him but had to trade away half the team to do so, so his new team mates refused to pass to him....then a hundred plus ultras stormed the training ground and changing rooms with weapons and all of a sudden his teammates decided to pass to him 😅

What do you consider "that many"?

As for your reference to "Covid-related deaths", you need to bear in mind the excess death rate, and also just how many are dying DESPITE all the preventive measures being taken, and then think for a moment how many might be dying if we just acted as if Covid-19 didn't exist or, as some would still like to make us believe, it was "no worse than a normal flu".
