We conceded 4.41 goals more than expected on the PL which means we are 17th best side in that regard.
------------------------------------------------------------------
And of course gks are solely responsible for goals conceded
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They are last line of defence
------------------------------------------------------------------
So you hold him responsible for every goal conceded this season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Partially responsible
------------------------------------------------------------------
Partially responsible even when calamitous defending happens in front of him
Fair enough
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He does not cover himself in glory by hugging the line either does he?
Like I said great shot stopper but overall not my cup of tea for a keeper
Southampton scored 3 similar goals against us in last 3 league games. De Gea just stood there all 3 times.
More stats! Stats Smatchs!
what does your eyes tell you?
Like today, the main stats say it was an Even game, but the optics tell a different story.
It was anything but even. We fully deserved that win.
For the Freekick, in that Situ he would be more far over to the left cos of the UTD wall.
It was a postage Freekick. Him getting a hand to it is a not viable for me cos he was behind the line, had he gone across the line, it would’ve flown in straight such was the perfect angle of trajectory.
And if he had saved it, that would’ve been a worldly save.
Expected goals was 0.50 vs 2.48 so the stats agree it was a one sided game.

Exactly
I'm shocked he hasn't been in from the start, far ahead of DDG's current version!
I actually think DDG is at fault for the last 3 goals we conceeded
Should have saved both free kicks - but I say that because DDG 3 years ago would have saved them.
The first goal today, he came off his line and there was no need for it. If he stays on his line he has a chance to make a save.
He gets criticised for not coming off his line but this decision was a poor one.
I would also question him for the 2 goals from the free kicks in the last 2 games but not for todays headed goal.
Other than that I cant think of much wrong hes done this season and there is a noticable improvement compared to how below par he finished the last one.
Henderson has brought a much needed competition for the position which de gea seems to be reacting to.
Hopefully Henderson piles the pressure on de gea for how long the injury lasts.
It's quite simple.
If he's not better than the woeful coco then he shouldn't be at the club.
We need to find out.
