I wonder if they’ll ever START a game together!
Lo Celso and Ndombele are obviously the same player.
Nobody has seen them together ever.
NDombele is the strongest midfielder we have ATM.
Unfortunately he does not seem to get beyond the 60 minute mark.
So Lo Celso and Winks will always be needed as replacements. And I think Lo Celso is our second best midfielder, so the first choice replacement.
Also Sissoko is a key back-up player in Mourinho's set up with this midfield. It will leak like a sieve without him.
I thought N`dombele was brilliant in the first half. Shame he just doesn`t seem to be able to do 90 minutes.

incredibly skilful player. now works so hard as well. he's a different player than the one we bought. whereas initially he'd just walk round, there's now no hesitation in sprinting to help out or make himself available. gonna be a colossus hopefully.
Reminds me a bit of Moussa Dembele. Holds the ball well, his twists and turns and the ability to dribble past a couple of players.
Oh yes - can’t last 90mins
yeah can see some similarities for sure.
busting those tackles.
Ndombele is class, I just dont get why he can't last longer than 60 minutes?
also for me, I think Dele and Gio are his competition as he plays really forward supporting the front line. I would have loved to see Dele come on yesterday to replace him.
Thought he played well yesterday but it makes you wonder why we bought him and GLC in the same summer when we were crying out for a quality CB and a back up striker.
NDombele reminds me a bit of Pogba..... no doubting his quality but questions remain re his attitude and fitness. Just like with Pogba, it feels as though if you are gonna play him then you have to play Sissoko in the same way United have to play Pogba with either Fred or McT....... Massively talented but have some pretty big limitations
Up until this past summer, our recruitment & signings have been shocking....... Bergwijn is another..... Basically they same as Sonny, Moura & Lamela yet Dele (who offers something a bit different can’t even get in the squad.
Balance of the squad is better than it was but its a case of rectifying so many mistakes from the past couple of years
Would love to See GLC, PEH & Ndombele in a MF 3..... Just not sure Jose would ever let the handbrake off enough for that....... Might prove that Sissoko is really only there for the grunt work when we all know PEH can probably do most of it himself coz the guy cannot play football
He's clearly a baller but it's frustrating and tbh in terms of set up frustrating he still can't get being the hour mark.
Means we start every game with a substitution already known/planned which could come bite us in the ass at some point.

maybe if we played 3 centre backs, reg and aurier/doherty as wing backs, then could maybe have that 3 in midfield with son and kane up top ?

I’m not opposed to that at all..... Both Reggie and Aurier are better as WBs than traditional FBS and remember Doherty played that system for Wolves. It means no place for the likes of Moura or Bergwijn which I’m fine with as both seem to offer more tracking back than they do in terms of creating chances and scoring

I actually think this is clever because of how thick and fast all the games are coming.

drop a winger for Lo Celso or Dele is what i would do. As Bergwijn, Lucas etc all play narrow anyway, in modern football the 'wingers' do drift in a load with the full backs being so offensive

Against relegation fodder, GLC for Sissoko.
Basically, GLC should be starting each game. He is too good to be on the bench.

He’s awesome and finally been allowed game time while his fitness has improved. Just highlights how poorly utilised he was last season and how wrong people were to judge him last season.

Morning Genius. I think every player in the squad has a big part to play this season, including Dele, so I am not personally writing any player off. If as I expect Spurs go deep on all cup competitions, then every single player in the squad is going to be invaluable.
Spurs have eight games in December, starting on Thursday 3rd and ending with Fulham on the 30th, so all those games crammed into something like 27 days. The squad will absolutely be used to the full.
