How long you reckon out for ? Get well soon Jimenez
best player in the league outside of the established top 6
hope he makes a full recovery and is back playing but you're always wary after injuries like this
That’s really sad about Jimenez. Quality player and I hope he makes a full recovery.
I didn’t see the game but it’s stupid that Luiz carried on playing. I don’t blame him, but the officials need to smarten up on this. A similar thing happened to Verts in the CL semi at whl v Ajax in 2019. He was clearly concusses and allowed to continue playing.
One day a player is gonna take a second knock after they have been told they can carry on, and suffer severe consequences.
Hope its not another Ryan Mason scenario

Might never play again. Will need a safety helmet like Cech had, not too sure if outfield players are allowed them ?

Surely not ?
Going to be three months at least and then given half his game is his excellent aerial ability probably even longer. Not to mention the psychological aspects that come from things like this.
Is it really that serious? Jesus. Hadn’t realised that. What an absolutely devastating loss if so. He’s such a great player and still got a lot of career left. Poor bloke.
Yeah it wouldn’t be a surprise if his career was over. Granted I don’t know the specifics of the injury, but needing surgery on a fractured skull doesn’t really bode well.
And it’s unbelievable that Luis was allowed to play on.

Who knows? But Ryan Mason retired with a simialr injury and if Jimenez is advised not to head the ball, there’s only one option for him, I guess?
Keeping Luiz on the pitch was crazy too, football needs to wise up when it comes to head injuries. An awful incident happened during the same game and he trots back out onto the pitch after being virtually knocked out.
Always sad when any player of any club gets a serious injury. I wish him the very best, and that he makes the very best of recoveries.
Terrible news, definitely one of my favourite players outside of Spurs, a classy goal scorer. I hope he can recover and get back to his best. As for Wolves I thought Neto was outstanding yesterday - he was running full sprint in injury time, looks a player.

I hope that this is not true, although I fear it may be.
Get well soon Jimenez, I'm sure that all of us on here hope that we see him again on the field at some point in the future.

Luiz is an idiot.
-------------------------
A pure accident,no one knows the extent of Luiz's condition, could be more than first thought.
Football is a physical sport and these things happen sometimes.
Hope that Jiminez comes out of this ok,wish him a speedy recovery.
Let's be honest about this. Normally a fractured skull repairs itself after a recovery period. Raul had to have surgery, which means something else is wrong, possibly some brain damage.
I fear he'll be out for quite a time, if not for good and again, I hope he gets the right advice from neurologists. Early days for sure, but it's not looking too good, I'm afraid.

I just think in that moment Luiz was thinking if I don't win the ball I'm taking him out. He is a loose cannon and not sure why you deleted my comment but that's your choice.
It's not the type of thing you see week in week out and if Jimenez is affected for the rest of his career because of that's clown's rashness its a massive shame for the lad. Hope he gets back playing as soon as possible.
Such a shame for both Wolves and the player, hope he fully recovers!

I didn't see the incident but your comments don't surprise me at all.
Arsenal seem not only to be absolutely shti at football, but to have also assembled some absolutely classless undesirables. Bellerin and another one were mouthing off in the 2nd half in a way which was completely inappropriate in the circumstances. One of them was giving it to Traore, which was quite funny seeing as the block would literally shti himself if he said it to Traore outside the ground.

Yeah, I love Neto. One of my favourite players in the PL. Would love him at Spurs.
I tuned in to that game after the head collision. I saw Luiz with a clean bandage on. Later on he headed a high ball clear and blood start seeping through his bandage. Surely after that sort of head bang, if a key part of your job is to head a ball then the commonsense thing is to be subbed. Repeated blows to the head, even from a ball, after the first incident could really do some damage.
Lets hope he's ok for the NLD though
When is Football going to do what every other sport does and have h.i.a assessment before a player can return to the pitch, Luis should never have returned, the greed of some clubs to get there players back at all cost is unbelievable, they should go to changing rooms and have proper medical assessments from non club related officials, mean time a temp sub allowed
I'd be shocked if he plays again, really depends on how serious the fracture is, if he required a metal plate or not and if he can get insured and get medical clearance.
the noise of the collision was sickening
i hope he's ok a can resume playing soon
thankfully he signed a new 4 year contract in October
