Based on how Mourinho likes to set up his teams, feel there is a more of a need for a dynamic holding technical midfielder who can play alongside Hojbjerg.
Sissoko offers very little technically which limits the amount of football we can play in the middle. There are rumours of Khadeira in January who apparently has been in contact with Mourinho. Am sure Mourinho wouldn't have been happy with our second half showing against Chelsea so wont surprise me if this happens.
A stop gap option and wont cost much. However, not sure however at 33 how much he has in those legs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sissoko position as it is right now, as the holding defender covering the right back's space, is very much a physical role, involving being strong and tracking back, up and down.
We don't have someone in his position who in transitions, can play a pass to turn defense into attack.
But we do have Toby who can provide that kind of pass.
For now, Sissoko is doing a great job as the last 3 clean sheets show.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We need more possession and fluidity to our play and Sissoko offers little. We can get a better version of him and allow us to play a bit more on the front food rather than sitting in and repelling all that's thrown at us. Clean sheets are good but we also need to start playing a bit more.
And Toby's "I am being pressed long balls" are good then they hit their mark but lets face it are a lottery.
Hope Sissoko fixes his studs for Saturday's NLD. He kept slipping against Chelsea

I really cannot see Spurs buying any more CBs, they already have more than enough. A really creative midfielder would be first on my list of purchases.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I had a chat with one of the guys, and it is looking like very unlikely we will be getting anyone in Jan as the club has lost £64m last year, and we have 6 players who could play as CB.
It seems the financial loss will impact any such activities.
Jose is looking to coach Rodon into a better CB instead. Coaching has been of the highest order.
During the last summer, a lot of ppl including myself were worried about "leaky" defense, but we now have the BEST defense in the league ?
It's all about coaching. PS: I love the way Fat Frank made a reference to "how much" Spurs spent in the market when asked if he was surprised in how well we are doing? What? Chelsea spent over £200m, and Thiago Silva himself earns 1 month what Rodon earns in a year?? (Quote from Jose).
Come on, fat Frank pull the other one

who would they replace in the xi though? ndombele?
Jose likes to play the two holding midfielders and 2 wide players.
The first team squad of players are making it difficult to be dropped, which happens when a club is doing as well as we are.
Right now, the moral is high and also the camaraderie
We have players like Dele, Vinicius etc can't even get into the side?
To me, there’s not much point buying a DM if we can bring back Skipp. That is, unless it’s a ‘Davids’ type signing.
I’m think we’re missing a CB. Sanchez isn’t good enough. A raid on Wolves or Burnley perhaps? (Eg Coady, Tarkowski et al). Or Rudiger? Can imagine Skrinir is out of our budget at this stage given our financial results 🤢
Coady has basically never played CB in a back 4.
Real lack of left footed CBs with champions league experience
