Think that's more symptomatic of the team more than anything, we've won one game away against the big teams in the last 5 years or something.
Auba has missed some big chances in these games though.
Never does anything in big games unless it's knock out ties or finals against City, Chelsea and Liverpool
Yeah ok 🚮

He turned up in these games but let's have it right, he is consistently poor against top 6 opposition especially away from home.
Just look at his record in comparison to other top strikers in the league for games against top 6

I actually think the fact that the game didn't take place in front of fans factored into this massively. Same with the semi final. Also, he was up against Kurt Zouma a championship defender.
Moving the goalposts now your not a serious article has been exposed 🤡
For me:
Aguero
Kane
Son
Mane
Salah
Cavani
Sterling
Vardy
Are all comfortably better than Auba as strikers or wide forwards
Auba is a hindrance if you dont play to his strengths. Unfortunately, his strengths are not so much individual ones but team ones. Auba is better off the left. He does not have the technical ability or strength to play the lone striker. His hold up play and passing are pretty poor if we are being honest. He thrives when Lacazette is at his best. A bit like Firmino at liverpool, Lacazette creates space by dropping deeper and occupying the central defenders and can hold up the ball decently. Auba also needs the team to play faster...get the ball to him quicker before he is crowded out. Get him in behind the defence.
However, right now, our team is SLOOOOOOOOW in movement and Lacazette is playing the worst I have seen him play. So Auba is completely nullified as he is not the player to come deep to get the ball and run at defenders or create something from nothing. That is not his game.
So how do we fix this?? Until we have a midfield or midfielder who can play the ball forward quickly, accurately and do so consistently, Auba will not produce. Our left side has been found out so the ball from Tierney to Auba that worked so well earlier this year, is not nearly on as much. I honestly dont see this getting better until January at the earliest. We either bring in an AM (will we spend the money) or free Ozil and play Elneny and Partey behind the talented but lazy #10 (will the egos at the top admit it was a mistake to cut him out completely).
BTW...i am not saying Ozil is the force he was 5 years ago...but watching the gave vs Wolves and the heat map after, the space that would normally be patrolled by an AM, was COMPLETELY blank. Our players did not advance into that area. Xhaka and Ceballos played too deep and too wide from each other and Willock favoured the left side as well. So bring Ozil back if we dont have the money and give him a solid base to build from. we may not win all games or even play much better, but I guarantee we will create more.

Auba is inconsistent and overrated and often fails to show up for big games.
Arsenal is still playing the slow stroll offense that has been its problem for many years. Same old pushing the ball out to the sidelines when on attack while opponents players have time to get back to help No player on team who is willing to run at opponents defence. Even Vardy or Son would fail with this game plan.
Mr. Arteta(nice guy), your plane is boarding, good luck!

Kane plays for a better team. So of course he'll look better.

Your opinion doesn't mean this article should be taken seriously when he calls Auba a stat padder
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He is a stat padder though. Never does anything in big games, particularly away from home he just goes missing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The big games Kane has played in:
Champions League final - 0 goals
World Cup Quarters and Semi - 0 goals
Just for Arsenal Auba has scored a semi-final hat-trick, a semi-final brace and 2 in a final to win a trophy.
Kane the stat padder, Auba the trophy winner.
Auba is sad coz he is missing Troopz

Kane is hardly a stat paddler. His overall game is light years ahead of Auba. He has now also developed his game into an assist maker.
The days of relying on through balls as your only weapon are long gone. Against packed defences you need much more than that
