Yeah I think he'll struggle in India as well as they'll pick him off for easy 1s and 2s and then punish the bad balls with 4s and 6s rather than giving away wickets.

I think they like him as he's similar to Swann in many ways other than quality however he's not played anywhere near as many games as Swann did by the time he made his debut.

I think the extra overs despite it giving us a bit of grief getting over the line was a hugely beneficial thing for him and Leach. Both need overs under their belts ahead of the India series.

It'd be great if he could but his injury record is horrific. Then again, Pat Cummins had a terrible injury record in his early years so maybe he can stay fit for the next few. Although I've just checked and they're the same age, I thought Stone was about 24 but he's 27 . Maybe he can aspire to someone like Mark Wood who has managed a mostly injury free last few years.

Makes sense they're being rotated but really surprised Stone hasn't come in for Wood. Wood wasn't amazing and surely this was the ideal game to see what Stone can do.

Quite surprised at that. Wood bowled quite a lot of overs in that second innings and we need to ensure we look after him.

Sri Lanka can't be as bad as they were last time for the first couple of days so this should be a much better contest from the start.

Our batting in the first innings has been a lot better of late so it'll be a good test to see how we fare against big first innings runs when batting second.

That's on the basis of them getting 350+. Every chance they could collapse once one of these guys gets out.
