One of them is going to have to stay in place and protect the defence. No chasing everything down in midfield or bombing forward.

yeah starting to think should always only loan players. Makhi rebuilt his reputation and so it seems is gouen.

Would have preferred to have seen ESR , Balogun & Azeez start maybe Cottrel as well

elneny has frustrated his entire career before he left on loan for being too timid. He hardly gets caught out of position. Last time amn played cm was under wenger. and he was playing dm. tbh positional discipline is something he is known for when he plays full back. I actually hope amn does go forward. think he has one of the better spatial awareness amongst our cms.

When you have first team players lacking game time it is unlikely you would leave them out for kids. Smith-Rowe is the only one of those I could have seen starting, Balogun the only other one I expect to get significant time off the bench either this week or next.

any news on Balogun's contract situation?

Won't Partey be in AFCON immediately after returning from injury? (i.e. Jan Feb 2021)? Or do I have the dates wrong?
If so, we'll be without Partey till mid Feb I guess?
