AMN in MF..... that's interesting. Let's hope he has a good game. We really need alternatives to Xhaka and Ceb while Partey is out.

Good to see Pablo Mari back. Calum Chambers makes the bench as well.

Are we actually seeing Ainsley Maitland-Niles in midfield? Hopefully he can make a case for a more permanent role there.

Win or draw or lose 1-0 and the group is ours.

Disappointed that Emile Smith-Rowe doesn't start. Willock not starting suggests he will retain his league place.

Maitland-Niles and Elneny in midfield should be interesting. Neither of them is known for their positional discipline.

A dead rubber game like this is the perfect opportunity for Arteta to test some of his wilder ideas.

Would rather see Balogun start than either Laca or Nketiah

Wonder if BT will still play crowd noises, or will they just listen in to how many of the 2k bother to turn up.

Hertha Sporting Director Arne Friedrich on Guendouzi: "He's a fantastic player. He wants every single ball, even under pressure. He has this intrinsic motivation to just show the world how good he is. We are very, very happy to have him here & he's worth every penny"
---------------
That will be £40M then please.

One of them is going to have to stay in place and protect the defence. No chasing everything down in midfield or bombing forward.

yeah starting to think should always only loan players. Makhi rebuilt his reputation and so it seems is gouen.

elneny has frustrated his entire career before he left on loan for being too timid. He hardly gets caught out of position. Last time amn played cm was under wenger. and he was playing dm. tbh positional discipline is something he is known for when he plays full back. I actually hope amn does go forward. think he has one of the better spatial awareness amongst our cms.

When you have first team players lacking game time it is unlikely you would leave them out for kids. Smith-Rowe is the only one of those I could have seen starting, Balogun the only other one I expect to get significant time off the bench either this week or next.

any news on Balogun's contract situation?

Won't Partey be in AFCON immediately after returning from injury? (i.e. Jan Feb 2021)? Or do I have the dates wrong?
If so, we'll be without Partey till mid Feb I guess?

Have to hope they don't qualify! Could do with them missing out on Qatar 22 as well, it is going to a hectic couple of years.
