Good to see it back.

I’m younger than yourself but been to my fair share of games between the two and glad the rivalry is back. Some of the nonsense on this thread aside

I liked Leeds in the seventies all in white, with great characters. But out of nowhere I was in the blue team for sports day and mum got me a Chelsea top, which was plain blue, no badge or writing.
Only really started supporting Chelsea in mid eighties after moving to Herne Hill for work.
The players Chelsea and Leeds had in the seventies would be sent off in minutes today...it would end up five a side

Jusf had a look. Chelsea just edge it in terms of average possession This season. So not sure why me saying chelsea could have more of the ball is too outlandish.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
`you aint played us though lad
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We’ve had more possession....and been tactically better. Shock
Outplayed for most of it by the poor manager that is Lampard.
Leeds had no answer in the second half. We overran them in midfield and they're supposed to be energy FC
I thought Mount was going to be in Kalvin's pocket hahahaha

"Tomorrow will be a baptism of fire for some of the Chelsea players. They might struggle to keep up with our pace and desire after playing midweek"
Didn't they play their reserves for that one?
I imagine there at most will start against you and one of them is their keeper!

Some baptism of fire. Chelsea run 6km more than Leeds tonight

Great post, Faith. While there is understandable focus on the rivalry between the two managers, the men themselves will be unaffected by this and, for the players, it will be another day at the office.
This game is set up for Leeds to get at Chelsea and Spurs showed last week that their right flank is vulnerable when attacked at pace. Harrison will cause some damage and Bamford will be fired up to show his old employer what they have been missing.
However, I am not convinced that Ayling and Koch will manage the threat posed by Werner. He is razor sharp and was unlucky to be inches off when he shot past Lloris.
The game will be decided by who can control the midfield. Both teams have superb creative players and rock-hard stoppers in front of the defence, but we do have an edge in creating chances. Bamford has upped his game this season, but if Dallas, Klich, Harrison and Alioski can hit the target more often, we should expect a better return for our endeavours.
Chelsea, though, look better overall than every team we have played with the exception of Liverpool. There is a level of control in their play that we will struggle to match. They are not as dynamic as Liverpool, but they have players who can change a game in a moment. I expect us to see a lot of the ball, but Chelsea to use it more effectively.
A final factor to consider is KP's influence for us. It is no coincidence that we have two clean sheets in the last two games. He is immense. But will he be enough to make the difference?
This is going to be another wonderful game - we don't expect anything less from Leeds. I just hope that VAR isn't a talking point, that whatever the result, we see the very best of what the Premier League is all about.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good post. Although I reckon Chelsea will have most the ball. But nice to see a sensible post
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In the end they didn’t have “ most of the ball”. No team has done that against us yet, this season.
However they were the better team today when they did have the ball.
That nailed on penalty would have possibly shut your stupid crowd up though
At 85 minutes chelsea had more of the ball. Leeds had it for the last 5 which skewed things. Not sure what the nailed on penalty was but Leeds were lacklustre
