Football is a sport and the BLM movement is a political one. Sport and politics should not mix.

Fans booing maybe just fed up with having to tow a political line. But of course if they don’t agree with something then they must be racist!

The outrage that fans not agreeing with something and calls they must be banned from the stadium are laughable and actually seem to be hypocritical.

You are allowed to have a view as long as it’s the same as everyone else

Regarding the poppy!

I wear one and respect those who sacrificed their lives.

If you do not wear one, that is fine and an example of British freedom.

I get irish nationalists or players from outside uk may have concerns, and so do not want to wear one, so if they want a shirt with no poppy, that is ok.

The issue with James McClean is him being politically active, supporting SF and pira openly, joining the irish nationalist civic campaign for a united ireland, turning his back on God Save The Queen before an international!

Its not just about the poppy with James The Brains😉

Having grown up in the area, coming across these fools on the daily. No surprise about yesterday.
It’s a badge of honour for them. Never learning.
And, we just go in circles when talking about them.
I like to think I’m a fair and balanced guy, but I have no tolerance for them. I made my mind up years ago about them.
And I’m ignorant about it and I don’t care.
I want that club, to burn to the ground and it’s ashes flushed down the toilet.
Screw Bermondsey and what effect it does to the area and it’s people losing it. Yes, it runs that deep.
But it’ll never happen, but I can but dream of that day.

So you want to deny a person the right to support a legitimate political party because you don't like it? Or because he wants to have his country restored from the arbitrary gerrymandering position that it was put into?

I suppose it fits in with your disgust at people believing that black lives matter.

Having said all that, I still think its gone on long enough and would have no qualms if it was wrapped up.

People also need to realise that the Prem and Champions League are now a commodity being sold to the world for billions. They now have to consider international fans as well, many of whom will see it as a positive thing.

Overall, only a tiny minority of their total customers are provoked by it, and if they feel it helps the image of their product then they will keep it going.

Genuine question...as i do not know,,mate.

Went to the old den New Cross a few times if Chelsea were away out of London, and lime the West Ham ground area, it was rough.

Is the New Den in Lewisham as rough and is it a racist area, as i thought it would be multi- racial and cultural?

Are Millwall fans being racist against people of colour, or just opposing a political BLM group action from America?

No, you can support SF or BLM group if you wish.

In the specific case of James McClean, he has backed pira too and so he desrves the srutiny we give to other racist extremist and sectarian groups!extremist

SF members have questioned if Leo the irish pm was really Irish, due to his indian heritage!

James has to be called out for his support of a terrorist death squad who leave bombs i n English pubs and town centres!

Black lives do matter and the killing of Floyd was just wrong!

I do not need to support a political group using the label BLM, to oppose racism😉

Great come back

Another one who says if you don’t agree with your views then you’re racist.

Why stop at the BLM movement? What about the me too movement? Can’t we get the players doing something before the game about that?

How about the animal rights movement, the players can maybe bring an an animal on the pitch before the game out of respect?

There are hundreds of movements so maybe to keep it interesting we can mix it up each week with a different movement and the players can all do something before each game?

The thing is, if you presented those people with a few of the main ideas of Marx, they’d be well on board. They just been thrown “cultural Marxism” to scare them and give them something to be angry about
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Marxism is conflated with communism and simple minds cannot separate the two concepts. Marxism isn't actually as scary as made out.

Agree with saying it has now had its day!

For the record, i would not boo those taking the knee.

Chelsea had fans in yesterday in our win against Leeds and we did not boo the kneeling!

I am sure many there were not be BLM group minded, but would oppose racism.

How else can you identify racists? I dont get this argument. Sounds profound but its logically void.

There is a standard which if you don't agree with then that makes you the opposite of that standard.

I think BLM is the cause of choice for footballers because so many of them are black so obviously feel passionate about equality issues.
