Ozil 92 German caps 23 goals
Arshavin 75 Russia caps 17 goals
Rocastle 14 England caps 0 goals.
And your trying to tell me Rocastle was a better player absolute rubbish.
So England caps proves a player is good or not?
Charlie George is in your list, yet got 1 cap. And he got that after he left Arsenal.
People were telling me that Rocastle was better than Ozil and Arshavin. Clearly not judging by their stats whilst playing for Arsenal. You being one agreeing with them. Please tell me why Rocastle was one of the top players at Arsenal. His stas dont even compare with Michael Thomas,Brian Marwood Ray Parlour and many more Arsenal midfielders. Please explain. The fact Charlie George never got more caps was because he was a maverick along with the likes of Hudson and Bowles. He was still a great player but not liked by international managers at the time. Rocastle never got more caps because he wasn't up to it.
George 133 appearances 31 goals in far less games as Rocastle for Arsenal.
The reasons why David didn't get more caps were:
1 - He was black - he was only the 11th black player to be capped by England. Of the 10 before him 8 started less games than Davids 10.
2 - John Barnes was the token
3 - He played for Arsenal.
4 - He suffered quite a major injury at a rather young age.
Also, Rocky scored 34 competitive goals for Arsenal, and was a creator more than a scorer.
Strange that Wright doesn't get rated because he scored too many and Rocastle doesn't get rated because he assisted more than he scored.
Wright didn't get included because he was greedy I have already explained this. John Barnes wasn't a token as you call it. The fact was Barnes was a fantastic player and that's why he played over 70 times for England.
Actually Barnes was heavily criticised for his performances throughout his England career - and a lot of it was fair and not just because he was black.
Yes, Wright was greedy so out, Rocastle was generous and is out for not scoring enough.
Rocastle scored 23 goals for the first team for Arsenal according to Wikipedia. Where are you getting 34 from please tell me your not including his youth career and reserve goals. You really are clutching at straws now.

No, I am counting his senior goals in competitive games. You are counting just his league goals.
No get it in your head Rocastle was out cause he wasn't good enough. Please tell me he wouldn't be in your top ten !
I would definitley have him very comfortably ahead of Arshavin and Ozil
Your choice which you are entitled to.

You're not a racist old fart though
Garwood there's nothing impressive about Ozil's stats when you include the important fact that they are the return on 7 years and over 100 million quid. As for putting him back in the team now, well that's exactly what got us here. Numpties like you crying to get him brought back last season after Emery had RIGHTLY frozen him out early after he totally quit on the team and threw away the CL places we had the previous season by just not bothering to try.
Ozil is a problem and he heavily contributed to several other problems at the club. Forcing his waste of space ass out, is the best decision Arteta has made. Returning him with not help to solve any problems, just create a whole bunch more on top of the mess there already. Kicking him out the door in Jan and buying a new CAM is the best long term plan. In the short term, Nelson and Willock are both playing well and Lacazette can play there. ALL THREE are better options than Ozil. Not because they are necessarily more talented as CAMs. But because they will actually PLAY and WORK on the pitch.
All you fanboys are the same. Just can't grasp the idea that how "good" Ozil is, is 100% irrelevant. Because the man himself refuses to play with any effort or commitment to winning. FGS man, even Messi and Ronaldo would be useless if they gave Ozil's level of effort and commitment. Ozil is one of the biggest wastes of god given talent I've ever seen. Disgusting example for any youngster as a footballer and a human being.

In case your asking. Not in order. Viera Bergkamp Henry Adams Arshavin Ozil Pires Cole George Brady.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Each to their own, but Ozil and Arshavin over Limpar and Rocastle seems very odd.
Bit too young to remember George, so I'd have Wrighty too.
Tbh I'd probably have Sansom in there ahead of Cole - though I appreciate he was a great player too.
Looking at the current batch, hard to think I'd shed
a tear about many of them leaving.
As for the OP... Ozil is done. No coming back for him. I really don't think he'd have made us a much better team this season either.
Think he'll be off next month anyway. Can't wait to finally move on from him too.
This on-going chatter about bringing OZIL back speaks to the total dissaray that is club is currently in. It also demonstrates the club fan loyalty that this club has. Sorry folks, but the HMS Arsenal needs to return to dry-dock for a really serious overhaul, and one of the first acts would be to forget OZIL.
Only our fans who don't actually really understand football want Ozil back or those who dip in and out of watching us - or both.

putting his name in all caps won't help...
The only way to make these Ozil's debates or talks (however you want to call them) stop is for the manager to make everyone forget about him. But everytime the headlines will be "Arsenal are not creating enough chances or lack creativity, then his name will automatically pop up.
And I'm afraid, this will be the case whether or not he leave in January.
