Diafol , great to hear the missus is feeling much better I’ve been doing a fair bit of exercise to get around cabin fever creeping in. Works a charm
So happy for you both Diafol, hope you all have a merry Christmas.
Thanks Baz/Arab. Yes, exercise does work a charm.
Happy Christmas to you as well.
Hi Diafol.
Glad to hear things are looking up.
My mental health has taken a battering today, as it’s more obvious than usual that our local government is absolutely useless from top to bottom.
A series of meetings this afternoon has confirmed it beyond doubt.
Anyway, enough of my ranting. ๐๐ป
Good news OP
Have a great Christmas and Happy New Year, with good mental and physical health.๐ป

Oh dear. I sympathise.
At least we're safe in the knowledge that we know what we'll get from United tomorrow...
Da iawn Diafol!! Rwy'n falch o glywed bod eich gwraig yn teimlo'n well. Pob hwyl ich ti ar teulu dros y gwyliau. Nadolig Llawen cyfaill
For those who don’t speak God’s own language I wished Diafol well but a house of plagues on his team
did you try telling her to snap out of it Diafol? That's the only advice I can offer. For yourself, if you are needing some advice then it would be to MAN UP. Hope that helps. Always here if you need more advice.
Blydi hel Mighty and Barry!
Yeah I don't mind admitting I've struggled over the last 8 months or so I was furloughed then at massive risk of redundancy (thankfully safe for now)
But I feel let down by my company no 'return to work' carried no assessment of your mindset just your back... Over there is what we want you to do.
Junction 8
Sometimes a good thing for Mental Health is just to get straight back into work. We're creatures of habit. We settle back into a routine.
Very pleased for you and Mrs'Diafol.and in time for the festive season.
Many years ago I listened to a programme on the radio about depression. A psychologist recommended exercise, also gardening, digging especially. The quote I remember was that being depressed while you were sweating was ( rare, impossible, unlikely) I don't recall exactly, but you get the drift.
I had an allotment at the time, so when I felt fed up, I tried it. I dug in lots of muck did a little planting, and you know it worked, I felt cheerful after, and it lasted.
If that doesn't work try Barry's suggestions.

Thanks for the article and the update. I've turned on the match ban feature as you know what the internet is like! Best of luck to you and your Mrs in 2021.
Admin1, please can you give Sergio Aguero a one match ban for tomorrow?

Cheers admin. I'm pretty chilled if people say stuff as s joke anyway but so far this thread, and the other one, was very good.
It's not about me here though. I just wanted to share that you can see light when all you could see previously was darkness. Happy to chat with anyone at any time on here if they feel they need to vent. It's helped me so I hope I can pass that on.

Good man and a lovely gesture.
Covid, lockdown and recession will create huge mental health problems and the more help each other and Talk about it, the better.
Good luck to you and your other half.๐ป
Great to hear that Mrs DC is improving, and thanks for keeping the conversation going Diafol
I have one friend in particular I’ve mentioned on here previously who has struggled very seriously with mental health issues, and his entire personal management plan is focussed around just working to make every day better than the last. Tiny steps consistently in the right direction.
