Cats naturally want to prowl and climb, keeping them indoors for life is cruel.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Totally with you, but the eagles that live across the street would eat them like Twix
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You live in hotel California?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You have to let cats have a bit of freedom but they need to know they have to come home each night as well. In other words, they can check out any time they like, but they can never leave.
Got a dog, but he's basically a cat to be honest!
Would love to get a cat to go with him, but the wife is allergic
they grow up quick then eat you.
seriously though cats are predators and hiders. if you have a few places for them to hide and watch you they are much happier. Cardboard boxes even, if you can have them hidey holes they will look after themsevles.
Yeah there’s definitely a few nooks and crannys that they’ve preferred.
Getting into a we routine it seems. Run around like tiny tigers for an hour. Slow down, do an explore. Find a cozy spot. Snooze for 3hrs. Wake, eat pee poo, repeat.
just had to put my cat down. she was 22 years old.
i've had cats with very long life spans. nick was 17 leroy 19 and satchmo an ancient 22. great companions.
How’s you come upon the names?

can't remember nick it was so long ago. leroy is french for the king le roi. and satchmo after my first hero louis armstrong, and that was the female.
Nice! Leroy is a solid name.
We have an open floor plan thing going on at home here. Ultimately they’ll have the basement to live in, but it’s a bit cool down there and they’re only wee, so it’s a corner of the kitchen at the moment.
Have to build a Feckin barrier each night to try to keep them in one place.

Ever see that video of an eagle that had swooped to pluck a giant octopus out of the water and got caught by the octopus?

I remember hearing a story somewhere about a Scottish wildcat (British wild animal sane size as a domestic cat) vs some big bird of prey. Story goes that game keeper saw a big bird of prey catch a mother wildcat trying to protect its cubs and take off with it. But the cat fought back taking both of them out of the sky, the bird died and the cat had a broken back and he had to put it down.
Fack the eagles
Eagles will never be our masters.
Let the cats run free
