Leicester looks like it could be a dangerous fixture, and not really the one in which I'd be expecting Mourinho to take the handbrake.
Their counter being their main strength, Spurs pushing and pressing higher could play right into their hands.
Also, it's much easier to say 'take the handbrake off' than actually do it when you've had a tough run of games where you've had to play more defensively. It's not like it's a simple question of flicking an on/off switch. This has always been a problem for Mourinho's sides. Wouldn't surprise me to see another 0-0 draw in one of your easier upcoming fixtures.

Jose will be wary of the pace of Vardy and Barnes getting in behind Toby and Dier, we will play deep to snuff them out, with PEH and Sissoko marshaling as usual. There will be no ‘removing of the handbrake’. I can tolerate that against Leicester as they are a top 4 rival. But as we move into our games against midtable and relegation fodder I want us to play more progressive football - we have an array of attacking talent, enough to blow most teams away, we have two of the best forwards in world football right ffs. Save the bus parking for the big boys.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ace, time to stop worrying about the opposition mate, and time to go on a winning run, and let he opposition worry about Spurs front men for a change.
Agree bus parking for the big boys worked well, but now time to get on the front foot, and start handing out a few spankings.

Well, given the way it went against WBA, Burnley and Palace I think you’re gonna be disappointed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You have to remember mate, the WBA and Burnley games were in the middle of Europa Group stuff, and the Palace game was sandwiched between two biggies.
Joe had to handle things as best he could with that difficult fixture list. I definitely think we will see a different Spurs now the fixture list is getting easier.
Leicester game is now important to ensure losing does not become a habit. Draws can be damaging, but when you are in the pack at the top, you must keep picking up points.
Chelsea a prime example. Chance to go top.lose a couple of games, and now down to 7th.
Tactics will be crucial with both teams playing counter attacking football. Leicester are good at this, hence a very good away record.
Jose needs to get the balance right and cannot allow Vardy to expose our back 4, particularly Toby and Dier, who both lack the pace to combat Vardy.
Will be interesting how this game pans out, but the team definitely needs to be on it from the start.
Good interview by Jose in the Standard yday and some telling quotes. Most noticeably the quote about knowing his own team's weaknesses.
Hugo, Dier and Aurier have made mistake in the past which have often costs us plus it's no secret Sissoko is a unit who is not the best footballer in terms of touch but none the less a good midfielder who can double up as a defender. Obviously he does not mention any names but we all know what he talking about.
https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/tottenham-news-mourinho-liverpool-leicester-tactics-b374736.html?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1608331454
The Portuguese claims he organises his team based on their weaknesses and their opponents’ strengths, and says the only meaningful stats are goals and chances created.
"It depends on your weaknesses, too.
"You have also to know your own weaknesses and I promise you that even the best coaches and best analysts analysing my team and my players, nobody knows better than I do our own weaknesses. That is also a very important thing.
"You [the media] love the word possession," he added. "And you love the stats. Sometimes you say, ‘the stats say player B had 92% of efficiency in his passing.’
"But the stats don’t say that player only made passes of only two metres. And the stats they don’t say that the player was a centre-back who only passed to the other centre-back."
"So the stats many many times are like an incredible piece of meat or fish but badly cooked. It doesn’t tell me much. What it tells me is the number of goals you score and the number of chances that you create.
"You can have less time the ball but score more goals than the opponent and create more chances, create better chances but for some reason not to score the goals in relation to this."
"This is for me the fundamental thing: in relation to the way we play or try to play sometimes it’s our own decision, sometimes our game plan. Other times, it is the opponent that creates that situation."
Well worth a read and it doesn't sound any handbrake is going to be released soon. For me Jose will continue with the style we have been and why shouldn't he?
Our defenders as individuals are capable of making mistakes so to counter that, make the team work hard as a collective even if it means keeping a low block to protect them at all cost.
One point from a possible six, and Spurs are in an inevitable decline now. Fully expect Leicester to take all three points.
Spurs will finish just outside the top six.
Sandy we have a manager who always thinks about the opposition
We missed Ndom and Bale in the mid-week game.
We stay in top 4 by January, and then we have the big teams coming to us. All the points we didn't get, I am sure we will. Hopefully, London will be back to tier 2 and not just giving certain teams the advantage of home support, and will get the points off.
The media are reporting some unconfirmed news that Jose called Modric and ask him if he wanted to come in at Spurs until summer, like another loan deal.
With Gedson going back to Benfica.
In the meantime, we are just 1 win away from the top, and by the way, possession is BS. Side to side passes and back passes make up most the stats. Like we used to do quite a lot of.

Why would you have the handbrake on in a game against the team directly below you in the league and with their only good defender missing? Smacks of poor management that. If Arteta did that he'd be crucified.

It’s an intrinsic part of Mourinho’s approach: he plans meticulously based on the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition.
You’re never, ever going to see him not worry about his next opponent, because they’re his starting point.
He’s a pragmatic and reactive manager, and he’s made a great success of being such.
