I think Franks major problem making this year has been the games he's started both in.
games where teams sit in and defend deep where we will have lots of crosses, giroud should play, this is evident, yet he started tammy against spurs (it didnt work out) and against west ham (luckily it did).
Vice versa he has started giroud at times when tammy should play (wolves, despite giroud scoring).
Just read your article properly and see you echo my points JFDI, good article mate.

Giroud's form staled the chemistry between Werner and Tammy and is not the French's striker fault.
With Abraham, we intend to create a lot of chances and opposition teams struggle to contain us but with Giroud's starting, we look linear with cross and nod.
Meh, silly fans will be silly. The majority who are just being emotional will come around in time.
I don't hold being slightly entitled against a large generation of Chelsea fans. When you've grown up on nothing but instant success adjusting to a new reality of slow growth will be difficult, doesn't make them any less of a Chelsea or football fan & people who say otherwise need to check themselves (not referring to you JFDI).
Think late 90's Chelsea fans, i.e. me , get a nice balance between both worlds. Don't know what real football hardship is in the big picture, but equally grew up on a team that couldn't dream of being a big a club as we are today.

Sadly it's not just younger fans, there's one old boy on Facebook, Brummie will probably know who I'm talking about, he's like a Chelsea Sandy at times. He does my head in sometimes. My kids never slate players, they can be disappointed with results like the rest of us bu to slating is not considered. They are l are fans since the 90s.

Yep, 100%.
Without Tammy you lose the mobility, that ability to run the channels, the industry in pressing (makes himself a nuisance of the opposition defence) and creates space for others like Werner by occupying CB's + always improving.
Tammy allows Werner to take up positions in central areas, because Tammy is comfortable interchanging into wide positions (which Giroud isn't).
The improvement this season from Tammy is noticeable and that is somewhat reflected in his goals contributions when he starts matches. Better dynamic and dimension as a team with Tammy starting.
So many useful facets to Tammy's game which hasn't even been fully explored yet.
Tammy is going to be very important to the success of the team going forward in short and long-term
By next year, tying down Tammy to long-term contract has to be a priority. Currently runs until 2022.
Said it before...Tammy is still a tad raw, - should he be better by now...questionable
If you could have the best bits of Tammy & Giroud rolled into one it'd be some package
Meanwhile our high tech German equivalent looks like it needs going back to the workshop for "adjustments" so what can you do
We've currently got the highest spread of goalscorers in the Prem I think...which is very useful - but you need your front men being clinical...a definate area for improvement
Good article JFDI, you'll have to tell me who the oldboy is, so that I can swerve him!!

Tbh I think Lampard's usage of Giroud has hurt Abraham to an extent. Giroud's positioned as the underdog, easy to root for over Tammy.
Related to the rational that's plagued Jorginho & Mount the last 24 months at different times. People get fatigued by players who are seen as guaranteed starters who aren't doing anything obviously exceptional.
You'll be taking about our mate Norman then JFDI!!!
A different one Nick!!

Strange to put the article up here JFDI as I have not seen any such criticism of Tammy on this forum. He has done well so far this season. Ofcourse he still has a lot of improving to do on his movement and it would help his gand if he can start bullying a few CBs. But as an example Lukaku now looks the real deal, so it does take time.
At the end of the day we have two horses for courses strikers and Frank is responsible for working out the fit.
